  1. 3/8 oz jig is fine. My #1 trailer is the Rage Tail Menace rigged vertically.
  2. I think most people use braided line, but it is NOT required, especially for lighter rigs. A prime reason for heavy braid is retrieving The Rig when it is hung. The Bass Pro style retriever fits right ove the top, so your success rate approaches 100%.
  3. Well, I think you should probasbly just pick your favorite color, but these are some of mine: Swithwick Rogue Clown Chrome Blue/Orange Belly Purple Darter Tiger Roan Foxy Shad Lucky Craft MS American Shad Chartreuse Blue Baby Bass Table Rock MegaBass ITO Vision 110 Komorin Oikawa GP Sexy Shad Sexy Ayu Tennessee Shad Levitan Ayu HT ITO Wakasgi
  4. Send a PM or e-mail to Mike at DVT: http://www.delawarevalleytackle.com/contact_us
  5. Last post was just a few weeks ago, March 24.
  6. If they were bass, thet were just chasing baitfish near the surface. Gar will do this, too, but the behavior is also part of the mating ritual. On the Tennessee River we have buffalo fish raising cane with several males fighting over every female. Some of these fish are HUGE! White bass and striper are also prone to this behavior, especially this time of year.
  7. What's up with this post? First of all I have never heard of such a thing and have been using MegaStrike since it was invented. Secondly, Bobby has often stated that ALL MegaStike products are GUARANTEED. So he will replace the product or refund your money. However, he can't help you if you don't ask.
  8. Well I like just about all the "Classics", but here are five for this era: King George Alan Jackson Miranda Lambert Jennifer Nettles Carrie Underwood
  9. Great additions to the line-up!
  10. 859.52 feet = 286.5 yards
  11. It's hard to believe that #2 was able to escape a firefight and chase involving trained and well armed law enforcement personnel. I hope they find him today and don't really care if he is killed resisting arrest or trying to escape.
  12. Two tournament wins a row! http://www.bassresou...fish-41713.html
  13. 78 on the last RoadTrip at Pickwick during the Great Flood.
  14. Hmm... Tell me how much you want to spend and I will give you some VERY specific suggestions on rods, reels and baits. I am in Memphis and fish lakes throughout the Mid South. That means mostly the Tennessee, Mississippi and White River systems.
  15. Buy a Curado 200E7 or 50E on our Flea Market or on the internet for $125- $150.
  16. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/102156-2013-roadtrip-youre-invited/ You should be here if for nothing else, my burgers on Thursday night!
  17. All three ponds are in public parks. Grove is near Houston Middle School. I will be a Pickwick this weekend, but I fish the ponds most Saturday and Sunday mornings when I am in town. We could probably get together next weekend, the 20th or 21st.
  18. Maybe ghoti. will respond on this thread, otherwise send him a PM. He loves these reels after they have been tricked out. He will have several helpful suggestions.
  19. Well, I'll have to admit that a large portion of my A-Rig fishing has involved stripers. The big rig shines with 38 lbs of mad fish tugging on your line! However, I have found that smaller, lighter rigs are just as effective as the heavier originals. The weight s less than 2 oz all in and can be thrown on a typical jig rod, MH or H.
  20. A few 10s, but 5-6 lbs is more common. I caught a monster on Sunday at Grove Park on a NorthStar Original Swim Jig (Bluegill)/ RageTail Shellcracker trailer. I use to catch a lot of big fish at Neshoba, but they killed the vegetation a few years back and it has never been the same for me. Collierville has extremely clear water and the fishing is pretty tough, there are simply too many little bass in the pond. However, I might have caught my PB there two years ago.
  21. SALUTE! ...and Welcome Aboard!
  22. Gotta save the pics for special occasions: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/lake-guntersville-2012.html
