  2. Is that a new green for 2013? I've never seen it, but I like it!
  3. I fish Rage Tail soft plastics year around, so the "spring" baits would be MegaStrike Cavitron and jerkbaits, specifically Smithwick Rogues this year!
  4. This is a formula Mattlures posted some time ago specifically for his swimbaits, but I suspect it would be worth giving a try: Catch some bluegill and scrape the scales and slime into Vasoline to create a pasty consistency. Slather the mixture on hardbits or soft. Disclaimer: I have never actually used this mixture. I sometimes use JJ's on Rage Tail Baby Craws, Craws and Lobsters, but most of the time I am a hardcore fan of MegaStrike. That started years ago, long before MegaStrike was a sponsor here.

  6. For deep cranking the Lamiglas SR705R is THE BOMB!
  7. Spinning tackle: #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid Baitcasting gear: Hybrid #12
  8. MegaStrike will increase your hook-up ratio. I use the goo on both soft and hard baits/ lures.
  9. Well now, it's finally here...Game Day!
  10. The year was 1997...I had never heard of a Senko.

  13. Well, I have never used the Yum Money Minnow simply because I bought a big stash of Berkly Hollow Belly. I also fish Shadalicious which I like a lot. Recently I acquired the new MegaStrike Fat Shad which I am pretty excited about! I thought if some of you guys would like to try another brand CHEAP, this alert would be nice. Retail for the Money Minnow is $9-$11.
  14. My thoughts exactly!
  15. As you see in the responses to this thread, and every other "color" thread, nearly everything is somebody's favorite! Pick something you like, that will probably work just fine. Two of my favorites are Black w/ Blue Flake and Falcon.
  16. Okay, that's pretty good... We don't actually edit or delete very much and when we do is usually spam or something inappropriate. Heated arguments and the such are usually just closed so members can still read them and (hopefully) see why they were closed.
  17. The YUM Money Minnow is on sale for $2.99 http://www.lurenet.com/internet-specials/yum-6-money-minnows If you have fished them, tell us how they compare with other paddle tails.
  18. I was NOT criticizing you. The ShakE2 makes a great jig. By doing your own thing you will come up with unique color combinations and maybe use different materials. It's all good. I was just letting you and other members know that Bobby offers a unique jig series with the same revolutionary jig head. The hook is ultra sharp and consistently stands tall.
  19. Is the color pictured Black, Brown & Amber?
  20. The Evolution Jig is a ShakE2 with a skirt.
  21. SPEEDBEAD is a long time member who I have had the privilege of meeting on two BassResource RoadTrips. Rest assured this fund raising event is sanctioned and all proceeds will go to the Special Olympics. -Kent
  22. Just stirring it up? That's okay, we need a liitle to lighten things up this time of year. So here's my take: I began fishing higher end rods in 1997 and have moved up since then. In 16 years I have never broken a rod fishing or been with any friends that have broken one either. I have never been a line watcher. Heck, I can't even see some of the line I fish! If you are really interested in improving your feel, fish at night.
  23. You will find that is definitely NOT the case on this board. Everyone brags about their gear around here!
