Storing Plastic Worms
I store my soft plastics in two boxes, both with a section for hooks, weights, swivels and beads. One box is for Rage Tail, arranged horizontally. This accommodates the larger baits (Thumpers & Anaconda) as well as Hawgs, Craws, Lizards Eeliminiator, Rooster, Space Monkey and Shad. The other box is for other worms, Fat Ika, tubes and Kreatures. These boxes are for baits I expect to fish over the short term. Spares are kept in their original bags.

Guaranteed To Catch Bass
You can rig it either way; I fish the traditional weightless T-rig. "Skirt forward" means the bait is rigged so the skirt leads rather than follows. The hook is attached to your line on the skirted end.

Imx Vs Champion
The Dobyns is fine if you are looking for spit grip. I own the Champion 683C which I consider an excellent "all-around" rod, especially matched up with a CH50MG! On the otherhand, the G. Loomis IMX MBR844C is THE STANDARD by which all other rods are measured. This is the rod that established the brand and remains the very best all-around rod you can own at it's pricing point. Mine is saddled with a CTE200GT. I also own the MBR844C GLX version, MBR842C, BCR854, BCR893, PR844S and PR844C. Hmm...I guess I'm a Loomis fan!

Yo Zuri Hybrid Sink Or Float
Hybrid and Ultra Soft both "float". They are not buoyant like a cork, but they "float" due to surface tension. The analogy is a bug walking on water. Once the line is "covered" by water it becomes neutral and neither sinks nor floats. From a fishing standpoint, there is no effect on baits or lures.

Rage Tail Thumper
I was fishing the 10" Thumper, but I have had great luck with the 7", too. The bite was hot, but my buddy couldn't get anything going on a variety of other baits. He had several new plastics he wanted to fish, so he did! However, the Thumper proved to be the ticket. I rigged up one of his rods, handed it to him and said, "Give this a try." My friend caught his best fish of the day on his first cast, followed by two more back-to-back. Three fish on three casts after 3+ hours of nothing. When things like this happen, it's like...WOW!

How To Thicken An Oil Based Scent
Wow! Three pages...JJ's is for color and garlic, MegaStrike for taste and user convenience. Both work well...VERY WELL. There is really no reason to make your own, it will never be an improvement over these two products.

Rage Tail Thumper
Big O says "Blue Flake" is Rage Tail "purple". I picked up a couple today.

Shimano Snobs.....question
Low profile seems to be the dominate trend these days, but if you are willing to try a round reel the CTE200GT is the strongest, smoothest reel I own. I have two plus a supertuned CTE100GT.

Izorline Xxx
Izorline XXX Copolymer seems comparable to Yo-Zuri Hybrid. #12 Hybrid has a breaking strength of 19.5 lbs.

Rage Tail Thumper
Dateline: Saturday June, 18 on Pickwick Hit the water at 5:30 AM. Started with the Megabass PopMax. First fish on the second cast, then non-stop action until the sun hit the water. Switched to the Rage Tail Thumper, Red Shad which actually looks purple in the water. I rigged the worm with 1/4 oz tungsten bullet weight; black bead; #12Yo-Zuri Hybrid and #6 Moaner Hook. Rod & reel combo consisted of a Calais saddled to a St. Croix EC70MHF. Around 50 largemouth were boated before noon. My partner could not buy a bite until he made the switch. We didn't catch anything big, ~4 lbs tops. The bite was in 10'-15' of water along a drop about 50' wide, 30 yards or so off shore, 2 miles long. Best results were in areas fed by creeks, outside the mouth of a number of small coves. The technique was cast and drift or a slow retrieve, but no hopping! We cast AWAY from the shoreline bringing the bait into and out of the deeper water. The structure is much like a trench with 3'-4' of water on either side (inside and out). Stumps and debris is scattered along the bottom. The current was modest, but enough to stir things up. The bad news was the TVA water release schedule. When they turned off the water, they turned off the fish. Bummer... B)

Hot Enough Fer Ya?
I don't think solar flares have much impact on day to day temperature changes. This time of year we get a little relief from thunderstorms, but otherwise the only variance is between hot and hotter. This week has been mild with highs only in the upper 90's. Next week summer arrives.

A Little Tip For Repairing Soft Plastics
Wow! I'm thinkin' throw it away and use another. I don't think any of that stuff is worth saving. How much do you think you save over a year's time, a buck-fifty? Man, save money buying stuff on sale not on going through the trash.
