  4. Wow! What a great way to start.
  5. So...We find a way to trash the bait and the retailers? This is why we have a "Senko" section on the forum: Goodnight Irene.

  8. Geez, settle down. G.Loomis will make it right. Great rods and a very customer friendly company. You will be fine.
  9. Hmm... Upgrade you hooks. Better hooks are not that expensive, but are the most important toll you use for fishing. For anyone serious about bass fishing, choose another brand.
  10. Don't be messin' with my pet fish. Hold them up when you take a picture, don't lay them on the ground!
  11. Man... JT and Bobby back the same week...The planets must be in alignment!
  12. Are you still writing for GYCB?
  13. I'm heading down to Florence this afternoon. The reports I'm hearing say bass fishing is slow right now. I guess we'll see. I don't know where you can rent a bass boat. Call Grand Harbor and ask them. If they don't rent bass boats, maybe they can suggest someone that does.
  14. WOO-HOO! Congratulations! :Applause:
  15. OooHHHHHHHH! C'mon now, re up. I fish your Shak-E2 exclusively and encourage everyone to give the MegaBug a try: http://www.***.com/Megastrike_Mega_Bug_8pk/descpage-MEGABUG.html MegaStrike owns me! http://www.megastrike.com/
  16. Definitely interested, or committed! My only issue is the timing. I don't want this trip to interfere with the Roadtrip. If Big O can arrange something during pre-spawn or spawn in February, that's great. Otherwise, we shoot for June, after the BassResource event. -Kent
  17. I respool low capacity reels completely. Otherwise, 80-100 yards. #1 I don't want to feel a knot in the spool. #2 I want a little margin in case surgery is required. #3 I like the spool on baitcasters to be full+; on spinning tackle a 1/8" margin, but I will fish it down to 1/4". #4 I only respool "as needed". Copolymer, fluorocarbon and braid do not get "old" if stored out of the sun at moderate temperatures.
  18. BPS...Ask for Neal or Keith in "Fishing". Otherwise, get it to me and I will have it repaired in Florence. Give me your reels that haven't been serviced in awhile and I will have them done for $8, with no shipping charges! -Kent
  19. Pick up a couple of packs of Rage Tail Craws.
  20. Look for somewhere else to fish.
  21. Camanche, Man, the cove you posted looks great to me. I would focus on the points, both primary and secondary. As far as getting hung goes...it's just part of the deal. Rig your soft plastics weedless, that will help. On a different note, I'm having good luck right now fishing small to medium size soft plastic swimbaits: Berkley Hollow Belly, Shadalicious, Keitech Swim Impact Fat and Matt Lures Baby Bass. These baits rarely get hung. The technique is cast and retrieve, the lures produce the action, not the fisherman. Good luck!
  22. Long Mike, Great news! You're now entitled to the "Moderator Discount". The fifth reel is free!
  23. For deep cranking, Lamiglas Skeet Reese SR705R is THE BOMB!
  24. So get your butt back here as a sponsor and tell us all about your new baits. Surprisingly, there are a few of us that miss you! -Kent
  25. Spend some time exploring the website. We have hundreds of articles and discussion for the novice fisherman. Start at the top of the page, "Fishing Articles" and "Tackle". Here are a couple of threads that may be of particular interest: Check out "Best of Bass Resource" for a listing of specific topics. You will find this in the top portion of the home page in "General".
