  1. For deep cranking, the SR705R is THE BOMB!
  2. G. Loomis IMX series show up in our Flea Market frequently. In excellent shape, these will run $150 - $175, shipped. If you are looking for an "all-around" rod, I suggest the MBR843C or 844C.
  3. Largemouth: MBR842/ Core 50MG7/ Yo-Zuri Hybrid #12 Smallmouth: PR844S/ Stella 2500FE/ Hybrid #6
  4. Check out the BassResource sponsors first. They offer great products at reasonable prices. Their support helps keep things running around here.
  5. "They all do it"? Hmm... Upgrade to Shimano...None of them "do it". Strong, smooth, silent and reliant.
  6. Another vote for the Panther Martin: Gold blade, black with chartreuse spots.
  7. Spinning tackle: #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Hybrid Ultra Soft Baitcasters: Hybrid #12
  8. Just fun and silly. After we see some user reviews I suspect the tone will change. Shimano is the leader, the rest are still sprinting to catch up. The bar has been set high...I'm excited for the reviews.
  9. 75 at Pickwick during the 2010 Roadtrip.
  10. Or be patient and keep an eye on our Flea Market. I bought the GLX BCR893 earlier this year for $250. Without a doubt, aside from the NRX, THE BEST Senko rod out there! Later... I just saw these in our Flea Market. The 853 or 864 would both be great buys depending on your taste:
  11. Hmm... Can't wait for my new reels to arrive. The Posse rides tall. These are probably a new generation of the finest reels ever made. I look forward to fishing the new models. Shimano leads the the way in innovation and state of the art technology. Strong, smooth, silent and reliant. I expect the 2011 edditions to set new standards for all the "want-a-bees" to emulate and attempt to copy. I hope the competition stays in the hunt, but right now that does not seem to be the case.
  12. Geez... What's up with that? :puke1:
  13. Hmm... Too cool! :laugh7:
  14. Hmm... I'm all over it!
  15. I own two CTE200GT and one CTE100GT. They might be my favorite reels, but they are my strongest for sure. I use them for bass fishing, striper and bull reds in the Gulf. One of the reels is ten years old and performs as well or better than the five and three years olds. I have never had an issue of any kind. Stong, smooth, silent and reliant.
  16. I like the MegaStrike Pro Series Shak-E2 http://www.megastrikefishingproducts.com/shop/pro-series-shakey-head-jigs-black.html As Raul pointed out, nearly any soft plastic is an option. I like the GYCB Kut Tail and Roboworms.
  17. Too cool! :Applause:
  18. Here's a thread with some interesting comments: I'm right handed. I crank baitcasters with my right hand; spinning reels with my left.
  19. Get some of these Sinker Stops: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_44440____SearchResults
  20. It's always hot in the summer, this one is no different. We have been lucky and had fairly consistent rains. Everything is still green, wildflowers are in bloom and the fish are still biting. Temperatures have generally been in the mid to upper 90's. Yesterday we broke 100 for the first time this year. The Mid South will stay hot through September. http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Memphis&state=TN&site=MEG&textField1=35.1056&textField2=-90.007&e=0 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_Days
  21. Hmm... Probably need a dozen of those, too. I also want another batch of the swim jigs, 1/4 oz, 20-25 strand. I will place the order on your website. BTW... I ordered two dozen customs from GMAN on 07/07/2011 and received them yesterday. These are the swim jigs I bought: http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/elite-g-swim
  22. 1997 GYCB Senko
