Who Comes To Mind When You See This Pic?
Well now, what's wrong with that? To tweak it a bit, I'd have a large breasted women in low cut blouse workin' the register and BBQ To Go! http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/15-minutes-rodney-atkins/a88e2c24d5b669861934a88e2c24d5b669861934-921440223534?q=the+worst+15+minutes+of+my+life&FORM=VIRE3 :D

Heading To Florence, Al
Six fish in eight hours. The only one that measured was a 2 1/2-3 lbs largemouth. Saturday was cold, wet and windy. TVA opened four gates and all the generators seemed to be operating. We fished shallow, deep, grass, rip-rap and rocks. We even spent time immediately below the dam. We blame it on the overnight arrival of the cold front, but whatever it was, it wasn't working for us.

I Need Your Help!!!
Florence hosts a number of tournaments, both professional and club events. The money from this award will be used to build a pavillion for fishermen, specifically a permanent facility for the weigh-in and awards.

I Need Your Help!!!
Everyone knows about PICKWICK LAKE on the Tennessee River and how GREAT the BASS fishing is (not to mention striper, catfish, and crappie). Pickwick Lake's largest city - FLORENCE, ALABAMA - is in the running for a $25,000 prize from the World Fishing Network's ULTIMATE FISHING TOWN. Florence won the first round results for the SouthEast region and is now up against other regional winners with much larger population bases. As of May 14, there are 17 days left to vote. Go to the following website and cast your ballot: http://www.wfnfishingtown.com/town/florence-al You can vote four times a day - you'll get more info once you've voted the first time. You can vote using every email address you have. Once you've confirmed your email the first time, you don't have to do that again. But, please do CONFIRM the first time or otherwise your vote will not count. To learn more about the city of Florence, please visit http://www.florenceal.org/ . I really appreciate your help. -Kent

Heading To Florence, Al
Anyone fishing Pickwick below Wilson Dam? We did very well earlier this spring on square billed crankbaits, but I haven't heard a peep since the flooding began. Anyone been down recently?

Flood
The river crested yesterday at just under 48', the second highest ever recorded. With some fluctuation, +/- and inch or so, the water river is ecpected to stay this high 7-10 days. More rain is forcast over the next three days.

Your Preferred Rod And Line?
Just silly... The rig you describe is for white bass, crappie and stocker trout, not bass.

Help With Gear Selection!
Hmm... Why ask if you are already committed? The 2500 series is what you needed and 12 lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid is the line for general baitcasting gear. Your Penns are way too heavy for freshwater in general and bass fishing in particular.

St. Croix Question
It's just personal preference, but I like 7' rods. For weightless soft plastics, I fish a ES70MF. I have the EC70MHF which I predominately use for big spinnerbaits. The Avid AVC70MF is my regular spinnerbait rod; AVC70MM is a classic light crankbait rod. I also have the AVC66MF for topwater and jerkbaits; AVS66MLF for white bass, crappie and stocker trout. I'm a St. Croix fan! My suggestion for you is to buy the Legend now and use some of these suggestions when you consider you next purchase. The Avid AVC70MHF is probably the best "all-around" rod you can buy at the pricing point. Good luck!

Smallmouth Books
I have a book for you, but I'll have to track it down. It is specifically written for smallmouth fishing on all reservoirs in the Tennessee River system. I may be at Speedy's cabin or I have lent it out to someone. I'll find the book and get it to you. -Kent
