  2. "The Best" is always whatever the responder fishes!
  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
  4. In addition to just about everyone that has already been mentioned, Russell Crowe, George Clooney, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Matt Damon. 8-)
  5. C'mon guys...We have already had our Senko thread for 2011. We let that one run, but we're done. Look through the Senko Stickie in the top section for more on the bait. Goodnight Irene. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  6. MBR842C/ Core 50MG7 Steezy actually recommended this combo to me and I love it! The rig balances perfectly creating the illusion of weightlessness. 8-)
  7. Last year we received about 18" of rain Saturday and Sunday. The river was closed below the Pickwick Dam. On Sunday, in torrential rain, tornado watches and warnings, Big O and our two soldiers caught 140 bass. Most of these were smallmouth including two Personal Best! All our fishing was above the dam.
  8. This is my rig: St. Croix Avid AVC66MF/ CH50MG 8-)
  9. Just for fun, how 'bout fishing nothing but big swimbaits for a whole day at Kentucky Lake? I would be VERY interested in the results. -Kent
  10. I think you will like the reel just fine. I recently purchased a 500 series for an ultralite combo. Let's both post a review after using these reels for a few months. 8-)
  11. If you are making bottom contact with a T-rigged presentation, the difference is "significant". Let's say 25% better for instance. 8-)
  12. WOO-HOO! Great pic!
  13. Regular Hybrid is less visible in the larger diameters. Also, coiling is not as big an issue on baitcasters. I think you will find that Yo-Zuri Hybrid #12 is a great fit. When you move to #15 and higher, the line is much less manageable. 8-)
  14. Nope. 4 1/2" Slug-Go, standard Fluke. I think the Live Magic Shad is 4". 8-)
  15. Slug-Go, Fluke or LFT Live Magic Shad 8-)
  16. BR discount and 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEED! Support our sponsors, they make this thing work.
  17. Calais, CTE200GT both around 1999-2000 8-)
  18. Hmm... I have a few and like them a lot. However, a well respected member, Bassin Blvd, has stated that a NRX contrasts to a GLX as a GLX compares to a 2 X 4! Back on topic, G. Loomis is the standard by which all other rods are judged. Loomis starts at IMX. Below that series are better values in other brands. I like St. Croix Avids and Legend Elite. Great rods occasionally on sale for tremendous value. I like my St. Croix, I love my G. Loomis. 8-)
  19. Spinning tackle: #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft Baitcasting gear: Hybrid #12 8-)
  20. I remember the AFL-NFL World Championship Game like it was yesterday. My Kansas City Chiefs vs The Pack! That game is now Super Bowl I. On January 11, 1970 the Chiefs beat the Vikings 23-7, my senior year in high school. Still a dyed-in-the-wool Chiefs fan, my wife and I moved to Denver just in time for the arrival of John Elway. Back then the playoffs just weren't good enough, Bronco fans expected our boys to be in the Super Bowl. The Green Bay - Denver game may have been the best Super Bowl ever played, it certainly was for me! I have never been to the Big Game, but I have not missed watching one either. As long as I'm breathing, that will never happen. 8-)
  21. Rage Tail soft plastics offer a number of opportunities for multiple presentations. A case in point is the Eeliminator. This bait can be fished weightless as a topwater lure dragged through grass; subsurface with a weighted hook; or fished on a C-rig where it really shines! Other Rage Tails with a wide range of presentations include the Space Monkey, Rage Hawg, Smokin' Rooster, Thumper and Anaconda. 8-)
  22. Forget about Pickwick and the Tennessee River until the shad kill has run its course. The fish are scavenging the dying threadfin. We (but not me) only had one bite Saturday. :-X p.s. Don't think "they should have tried ___." We threw everything including the kitchen sink!
