It's the nature of the beast. Pop your rod, you don't need a Bill Dance hookset for every rock. Bass will generally hold a tube so you don't have to be as quick as you might think. 8-)

Several guys, including Redlinerobert, HIGHLY recommend the BCR894 for soft plastics. However, since I prefer spinning tackle for weightless soft plastics, my choice and overall #1 favorite rod is the PR844S. 8-)

Technically, all the reservoirs on the river start below the dam that creates the upstream lake. Locals refer to the tailwaters of every dam as the "Tennessee River". 8-)

In clear water, original green Hybird is almost invisible, especially in the smaller diameters. In stained water, smoke or purple smoke is the better choice. Hybrid Ultra Soft is especially nice on spinning tackle where "line management" can be an issue. I prefer the green. 8-)
