My 3 cents as i have tooo many plastics....keepin my grubs all sizes flukes all sizes and straight tail worms all sizes.i think IMO with 30 + yrs fishing these 3 types can do it all even if is 300 + bags narrowed down to 5 colors...chartreuse ,white,purple,black, bubblegum

It will be fleemzy unless its a heavy action then it will weigh 15oz .no way they can make a blank the size of a pencil it will look like a noodle also the reels will need to be heavier.then it will be about balannce

If you do unscrew it and such i always crazy glue it back in ...never had one come out its just what i do to any bait with screw in eyes and hook hangers

The thing about 209 is it works best with 20 to 30 lb line and that reel with 300 yrds of big line takes a lot to move that spool no less then 3 oz and id go with the 8' its gonna be tricky casting it but once u find a technique it will be fine

209 is the most popular reel around here on the chesepeake bay for trolling it can be cast but you need more then 6'6" of rod 10' is about right to get the most from the reel 309 is way to big for casting distance more a flip out to deep water for jigging and trolling

Chunking baits you dont really need a levelwind i have couple 6500 abus i use for baitfishing they work perfect for chunking and get a few more yards casting .without a levelwind...

Abus are fine in salt ..no records here but i put mine through hell here on the Chesapeake Bay salt spray on a kayak dont bother them.wash them after each outing and even if it does break something parts galore .they may not have a big following in the USA but worldwide they do.BTW i use 5000 size abus for swimbaits and 6000 size and 7000 for bait fishing.and you can find used ones in great condition on the bay or fleamarkets for $5 to $50

IMO both are good i dont use them myself but i have used them in the past.it would come down to who has parts and customer service speed.

Last i heard fish dont really read our rods..i dont go $20 cheap but for me $20 up too $50 works fine and my cheap yard sale pistol grips fit perfect never had a notion to try a $300 dollar 3oz rod when a $20 3 oz rod does what i need...LOVE sittin in my yak busting bass shallow while the dude with the 60k bassboat is tryin to sneakk a peek then keep moving lol

It wont stretch from doin that ...truth is before any line stretches which is only for a few seconds anyway it has a order it goes in ..hook penetrates rod bends drag moves then you may get some stretch. ...i love bass but they aint the strongest fish on the block.
