Wasnt fishing but came apon a logging road when i was younger with a gravel bottom.this stream ran through it.only about 2 inches deep.noticed minnows swimming in it red bottoms and gray tops.few days later the stream was dried up.no minnows.followed it both ways led to nothing.ive caught minnows all around this area for ever in streams never once seen any if these.

4600C3 and a pistolgrip uglystik.12 lb yo zuri.30 rod 50 for reel .prob caught 10 tho fish with this combo.

Headsup they have gulp at k mart on sale 1.58 a bag .mullets swimming grubs and jerkbaits.

and then some i use them for everything except finesse and jigs

I have a few i use on a regular basis.they do what i want.i use yo zuri hybrid on all of mine with no issues.they aint the lightest rods but balance is key i use penn feirce reels on my spinning rods and abu 4600s on my casting.

I use a couple shimano volteus 2piece rods .For 20$ each not bad rods.You can find them at ollies

Try using a pistol grip its all i use for JB and topwaters no fatigue here.

Shock cherrywood or uglystik.i could spend more but do fine with these

I live right on the western chesepeake bay shore and its true.you wont see one boat out wind from the east,but as soon as it changes bammm it looks like boat races.

They work i find them on clearance a lot .

3 diff lures come to mind in the last 30yrs of fiahing for me..super fluke,manns jelly worm and a rattle trap.actually more like month long lures

Lotsa ppl including me use the phrase apples to oranges.the more i think about it its more like a 18 oz hammer compared to 20 oz hammer. Use what ya like i can use both with any lure.matter of nothing really
