  1. My experience is different - until this year when I purchased and was gifted some S.O. Fogys, all I'd use was Z-Man Originals - and caught quite a few fish on them. Next year I'll see how Mike's offerings work...but I'll always have Z-Man Originals in my box cause they've worked for me just fine.
  2. Early season perch are great - not surprising since their close cousin is the walleye.
  3. Having been there (visiting old friends who lived in Olathe) - I can attest to that.
  4. Always a fun time - thanks for hosting this again, FB. Lets see if I can do better this year.
  5. Well, the semi-official tally here is 9" https://www.weather.gov/source/crh/snowmap.html?sid=mpx&fbclid=IwAR1xjTXnyLn7lHsRAzG3-q9v4iF4sU_FFFOeSOTsGPc9PMSXJjd6zfErmC8
  6. Aldi's rocks...nuff said. I already got the two I wanted - Miravel 2500 and Ultegra 1000
  7. And I thought my egg purchase last week was expensive at $3.59
  8. Booyah and Strike King Banshee are my spinnerbaits of choice Must be your deodorant - my avatar bass was caught on a spinnerbait.
  9. I got about 6-7" here. Neighbor's snow-blower cut through it like nobody's business.
  10. This is what I use - a lot of places put their own label on it (my local hobby shop for one), but this is the 'original'.
  11. I still use Owners for that too
  12. All the more reason to shop Digitaka instead of a US store.
  13. Ya, more expensive - but Owner Block Heads are core to my Ned fishing.
  14. My backyard right now - coming down pretty good.
  15. There's so many 110 size-class jerks out there that you could try one a day and still have some left by the end of the season.
  16. I don't think it'll affect it that much...the 2/0 will be slightly heavier, but not enough to really matter.
  17. Hook sizes If it's a # - then the larger the number, the smaller the hook If it's two numbers separated by a / - then the larger the first number, the larger the hook. So smallest to largest ...#8, #6, #4, #2, #1, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0... So the 1/0 would be the closest in size to a #2
  18. Given the NWS forecast - I'm with you...this is not going to be fun.
  19. I would just contact Academy direct - let them know the model and ask for part number C091 (according to the schematic).
  20. At least it looks like it's just the handle knobs...can't imagine if it was the cover plates in that condition.
  21. I had a short-handle net for the canoe, but when I started work on the F-9, I knew I needed a longer handle...so I got this one. Frabill Folding Landing Net, 22 x 20-Inch, Premium Landing Net For me - if it ain't a panfish, I'll usually net it.
  22. For a 110 class-size slow-sink - I've got my Shadow Rap 11s and Deep Shadow Rap 11s.
  23. St Croix has a couple 6'8" MH rods - Legend X and Legend Elite (also the Mojo Bass, but that's well below what looks like your budget).
  24. Not down here - but when I lived in Bemidji, I'd target Rock Bass...mom loved the taste and I liked them too.
