  1. I just wanna know how he did that.
  2. Mix of moving baits and topwaters with some bottom contact thrown in? 6# Yo-Zuri Hybrid - don't be fooled by the number - IFGA tested it at 11.9# average breaking strength....
  3. In my experience, YZH has great knot strength...only time I've 'broken off' was when a pike bit through it...otherwise nothing.
  4. Well, I can respect that. Maybe come up with a truly new color combo... Tie-dyed Spinner anyone?
  5. Allen...bite your tongue My profile-pic bass was caught on white/chartreuse spinnerbait...
  6. Not great, but not terrible either. 13 22 34 30 81
  7. Ya, you betcha.... Especially considering I live on an island - truth...cut two bridges and I'd need to use the boat to get groceries when there's open water.
  8. BPS, DSG, Academy, Scheels...for some reason, TW doesn't carry the 4#. Also note that they don't do the 600yd spools in 4# - only the 275yd. .009" - same as 6# Trilene XL I would also highly suggest getting some KVD - YZH is a little stiffer than mono of the same diameter...probably has to do with the embedded FC. Ya...embedded, not an FC coat over mono.
  9. Well, I got 4 above 1st cut line Aoki's gotta up his game, man
  10. Why would you want to...a frog is pretty much weedless, a necessary thing when running it over the slop...and good soft-bodied one doesn't interfere with hook-set.
  11. My personal observation is that with the mix of mono (floating) and FC (sinking), YZH is pretty close to neutrally buoyant - so it's effect on many lures is negligible.
  12. Which is why my Aird-X MH/F is my moving baits rod...as I've mentioned before, it's sensitive enough that I can feel the blades vibrate during retrieve.
  13. Still is for a fair number of us.
  14. I'm not familiar with the Defy rods...I'm kind of in a rut far as that goes...Diawa, Dobyns and Okuma are my brands.
  15. The line I quoted from you says 'Tatula at Midway'...
  16. Across the board, YZH tests higher than what they put on the label - and that's according to the IGFA
  17. The Tatula XT is definitely better than the Aird-X...at that price it's 'a steal'.
  18. Still....he seems to be waffling....positive reinforcement here.
  19. Go with the Diawa....
  20. Thumbs up for YZH. I use 12# on my crankbait rig, 8# on my M/F casting rig and 4# on my ML/MF spinning rig.
  21. I refuse to put stickers on my desk. Course it is near an antique - was my dad's when he was a kid, built by HIS dad. Solid walnut, sucker is close to 80 years old...have a matching dresser that granddad built at the same time. I do need to re-varnish it at some point...but it's still solid.
  22. No - but the Cx-80 models are pretty much the same. Only major difference is the frame material CC - Carbon Fiber CR - Resin CA - Aluminum You can check out a CR or CC and know that the CA is basically the same reel.
  23. Oh ya - long as you have enough wire after the fuse to make a connection, you can cut it as short as you want.
  24. Unless unless you specifically turn it off in the options - one of the standard things displayed is voltage.
