Kayak Battery Question for Livescope
The Ultra 106 draws 2.8-3amps, the LS34 draws 1.75-4.8amps So basically you'd need 7.8ah for every hour you want to run both if they're pulling max power, 4.55ah at minimum power That 23ah Lithium would run those for 2.9-5 hours depending on the power usage. I'd get a larger capacity battery myself. I would NOT use Lead-Acid - using more than half the capacity regularly will severely shorten the lifespan...where-as you can regularly draw 90% of a Lithium battery's power with minimal effect on it's service life.

How do you hold your rod?
Only way I'd be surprised is if you didn't have a vid about something.

Great, you just jinxed us, man.

Fluke swivel?
Nope - no more than I'd use one for a weightless T-Rigged stickbait.

Adopted a shelter pet
That's a handsome fella there, and I'm sure he's gonna be well loved. Two of ours came from the shelter, Sara the lab/aussie shepherd cross and Tawnie the cockapoo.

St.Croix rifle handle
I'm with you man - it does look ugly and I can't think of one instance I'd want something like that. Something infest the water in WI to cause them to even think of this?

Vehicle Gas Mileage
My main issues with electric cars are two. 1: Is there more coal/oil/natural gas being burned at the electric plants? Hydro is pretty much at capacity, tree-huggers pretty much nixed nuclear even though overall it's the cleanest, and wind/solar are still in their 'infancy'. How are the electric companies generating the additional power needed for all these electrics? 2: The power grid is pretty much at it's max capacity now...when all these electrics are being charged, how many rolling outages are going to happen as sections of the grid get overloaded? We can't go all electric until those two problems are taken care of...it's nice that you personally aren't adding to the pollution...but is that being washed-out by the generating plants having to produce the extra power needed for your charging requirements?

A-Jay's Pro-V Bass GoPro camera set up (video)
@A-Jay - you've given me some ideas for the camera setups on the F-9 Of course it'll be a budget setup...I don't have that kind of money....heck, that boom alone costs twice as much as my 3 cameras, 128gb memory cards and the external battery for the body cam combined.

Haven't fished with anyone yet, but a few years ago @FryDog62 organized a gather...he, I and one other (I forget who now) were there. Then this past spring while I was still working on the F-9 project, @Deephaven stopped by to see it live.

headed to the hardware store. fishing rod storage.
1/2" x6" Sandalwood I had laying around, cut to 4" and 2" wide. Drilled holes in 4" piece, brass screw hooks in 2" piece Some 1/2"x1/2" attached to the back for the 'mounting brackets'. Stained with oil based, sealed with polyurethane. Works equally well when attached to a ceiling.

Best fish finder for mapping 200-300acre lake on jon boat
My word - my Striker 7 using Quick Draw can store up to 2,000,000 acres at 1' contours...and that's internal. The Strikers don't have a card slot.

One in KY - another site - also gets the special runs...they got the Cranberry right now. That's where I go for all my Zoom products...they seem to always have what I need in stock. And they're on the naughty list too...

How do you Southern boys do it?
Or where the weed don't quite reach the surface. I've had good luck running one over submerged weeds. Fishing gloves...never go on the water without them.

While the varying price based on where you are is a pain and gouging in a way. I still think we're lucky...we could be paying what my sister-in-law pays. While we're dipping below $4/gallon here, she's paying over $8/gallon in London, England. Spot prices as of 08-08-2022 - https://www.globalpetrolprices.com/gasoline_prices/

Vehicle Gas Mileage
Ya, I just looked - Minnesota counties don't have their own gas tax...it's just the Fed and State. Ya, I think they set the price based on the average income of those living in the area...and those who are just passing through can suffer.

Funny thing is - the first three I posted...Wayzata, Navarre, St Bonifacius...they're all in the same county.

Minnesota you can find bass hiding in lily pads, milfoil patches, coontail clumps...pretty much anyplace that provides three things. Shelter from the sun Oxygen generation Places to hide Bass are primarily ambush predators - they like jumping out at prey instead of 'long chases' like pike and musky. Thick weed growth is a bass haven cause their prey also try to hide in there. Oh, another technique - skitter a frog across the surface. Ya - best bet is a Medium-Heavy or Heavy casting rig with 40# or higher braid. If you have to go spinning - a 3000 size minimum...4000 is better...on a Medium-Heavy rod loaded with 30#-40# braid.
