  1. On Minnetonka you can rent anything from a plain fishing boat with a 9.9hp to a deck boat...jet-skis, canoes, kayaks, sailboats...name it, we got it for rent.
  2. We got them here on Minnetonka - one place near me rents 16' and 17' Bass Trackers. You could put up ads on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace and Next Door.
  3. Symphonic Metal is my game Delain, Epica, Nightwish, Within Temptation and Xandria are my main groups...but there's others out there. Closest any popular group in the US gets to that is Evanescence...who toured with Within Temptation on their European leg in 2021...and Amy Lee has done duets with Sharon den Adel (WT's singer) a couple times.
  4. My Timex Expedition broke about 3 years ago...haven't replaced it. If I need to know what time it is, I'm never anywhere without my phone... If I dress up for something and want a watch...I've got a 40 year old Rolex in my dresser.
  5. What it might need is a filter - that's what I had on the canoe where everything was connected to a single battery...TM, Sonar, cameras...all of it. Lowrance Hook 2 and later a Garmin Striker 7cv never gave me issues. Filter goes on the power line to the sonar. https://www.amazon.com/ferrite-core-filter/s?k=ferrite+core+filter
  6. I'm in a bummed out state today. My very first 'crush' passed away yesterday at the age of 89. Travel far, Nichelle.
  7. Tried three different types of weighted lenses as I've got astigmatism. None of them would 'settle' in place...give up. Now I'm on tri-focals - so resigned to wearing glasses the rest of my life. I use flip ups cause I can get them for $20-25 for 4 pair, each a different color...and yes, polarized. Can't afford prescription sunglasses even from the discount places.
  8. They got it wrong on whatever website you're looking at...look at Dobyns site and you see the difference. The 700 is a Moderate action with X-Fast tip The 701 is a Fast action.
  9. 3700 - 2" thick 3707 Spinnerbait - 1-7/8" thick 3701 - 1-3/8" thick Quite a bit thinner. The compartments I built in the F-9 will hold eight 3701 boxes but only six 3700s.
  10. Omnia, Fish USA, Scheels. I also get Fleet Farm, but fishing is a very small part of what they sell, so you have to search the online weekly ad...
  11. Given the lack of freeboard - my first glance had me asking 'What are they doing on a paddleboard?'
  12. Meanwhile, I'm still riding my 1975 Bridgestone Kabuki Super Light...got it when I started a paper route back then. Ya, still original paint job, fork emblem and sticker...just about everything else has been replaced over the years though.
  13. Reminds me of an 'incident' when I was in High School. Party out by the river up in Bemidji...couple of my classmates went off to 'enjoy' themselves. Guess where they both got poison ivy rashes... OUCH. They were both walking funny for a couple weeks.
  14. You take care of yourself, man. Back problems are nothing to sneeze at...I know from experience. Heal up, listen to the Doc, and we'll see you on the water at some point - hopefully still see you here regularly...you can 'fish' vicariously through us
  15. I do dropshots, Neds and other light finesse on a Fury 702SF....$130
  16. Same rod I toss my 90s on - but I'm using a Daiwa Fuego CT-H (6.3:1) as this is also my crank-rig.
  17. EEE-gads Mine was half-that. Trailer has a perma-license...one fee, good for life. Boat registration on the F-9 is about $30 every three years. All public lakes in MN are free to use...ramps are maintained by the DNR using tax money and their share of the state's lottery proceeds - by constitutional amendment when they authorized lottery sales in the state.
  18. Photos are limited to 1.46mb total per post...if you post 2 photos, that's 730kb each. My phone takes photos at 3000x4000 pixels - which depending on other factors can range from 2mb to almost 5mb...so I gotta shrink them. On my Galaxy, I go into Gallery, pull up the photo, click on Edit, then Resize...usually I shrink them to 1200x1600 or even 900x1200 to get the file size small enough.
  19. Plueger's response time to e-mail leaves a lot to be desired lately. I asked a simple question...took 5 months with a couple more e-mails to get an answer. @Delaware Valley Tackle - Mike, you got any ideas for the gentleman?
  20. So I guess fishing Ontario and Erie are out of the question... Is Oneida small enough for you?
  21. If that's the reason he refused to interview you - you might have a case under the ADA and EEOC. An employer is required under law to make reasonable accommodations for persons undergoing medical treatment. Refusal to hire based on medical condition is illegal unless the medical condition makes it impossible to do the job.
  22. Still just American p**s water I like a brew with bite.
  23. I don't use snaps much less swivels on cranks or jerks Oval split rings on cranks, teardrop split rings on jerks - direct tie to the split ring.
  24. 1 mile to launch - 1/8 gallon round trip = $0.50 6 gallons of non-ethanol gas in the boat lasts me 7-8 trips = $3.40 1qt of oil for the boat = $0.43 1/2 bag of plastics = @ $3.00 No fees So about $7.40 a trip for me
  25. Talk about snag city... If someone wants them bent out - they can do that themselves....nice, tucked close hooks are best for frogs.
