MK knot - use it for all terminal attachments. More wraps for braid, less for mono/FC. Thicker the line, the more wraps.

Four devices 6 year old Power-Spec Desktop running Windows 7-Pro 12 year old HP Mini-110 Netbook running Windows 7-Pro 4 year old 8" Galaxy Tab-A 2 year old Galaxy A-51 phone. I have no plans on moving away from Win-7 - so I maintain my desktop and netbook...just got a new battery for the Netbook last month in fact. My two Galaxy items are solid, dependable, and easy to use. I run Firefox on all four, and have a Mozilla account that syncs my bookmarks and logins across them.

I must have had one of the exceptions then. The '84 AMC 2-door Cherokee I owned was rock solid...regular maintenance was all it needed for the 5 years I had it (1993-1998). Finally gave it up when the hinge plates on the passenger side rusted enough for the door to fall off. That's when I got the 1998 WT-1500 - the only new vehicle I've ever owned...had 32 miles on the odometer when I picked it up.

That 18# was with oil-felt - I've replaced that with carbon-fiber, so the top end has probably gone up.

Ya - it's like my Mitchell Avocet spinners - who the heck is gonna lock down 18# of drag on a spinning reel that's loaded with 8# test line?

Not familiar with the model...is it a small or BFS reel?

Considering I've got most of my reels set in the 3#-5# range for drag to start the day - 8.8# max seems like enough to me...I don't think I've ever cranked them down to more than that. That does exclude my pitch/punch rig...but the reel on that maxes out at 11# A couple of the reels I use (spinners) max out at 9# anyway.

Top of the page Far as bookmarks - since I use Firefox on all my devices (desktop, netbook, phone, tablet) I have the bookmarks/logins synced so I when I add/delete/change something on one device, it propagates automatically to the others.

I just created a custom stream using the options Items Only, Topics, Unread, Past 1 Week, Newest First. Then bookmarked that....

I wasn't worried about these two - the spinning was a 1st gen Ugly Stick, the casting was an ancient Berkley Enforcer.

I use a couple broken ones (1 spin, 1 cast) for spooling line on reels...that way I don't have to 'fight' a 7'+ rod in my workspace.

I've had a number of friends over the years, but life happened and because of the home situation we've drifted apart. I have gone and done things with work friends, things my non-work friends weren't interested in. I think my favorite work-friend outing was a concert I went to. My work friend, Coffi with his sister and fiance during intermission. Me with the girls.

'Parking' in a spot that looks like it should be productive... then spending way too much time to prove that 'yes, there are fish here'...tossing everything, including the kitchen sink, to try and entice a bite.
