Glow Line
Dunno why - the blue end of the color spectrum (UV included) have the deepest penetration into water. That's why you can still sunburn even if totally submerged. Being underwater shouldn't affect the glow properties of UV activated line.

Coast Guard issues warning about E15 fuel
I'd like to know how often they update this. Two listings in my area 1: Listed as Minnoco here - it's been Amstar for 2 years 2: Second Minnoco - that shop was closed and tanks removed 3 years ago.

Will High Gas Prices Affect Your Fishing?
Trying to predict the volatility of the market is like trying to hit the bullseye on a dart board with a Claymore at 50 paces...while blindfolded.

Will High Gas Prices Affect Your Fishing?
One thing to note - we could be paying what others are...we're kinda spoiled here in the US cause we have some of the cheapest gas of all the industrialized countries/territories May 16, 2022 average prices - in US dollars/ US gallon USA - $4.66 UK - $7.70 Denmark - $9.32 Hong Kong - $10.96 https://www.globalpetrolprices.com/gasoline_prices/

Could it have taken the ECU out?

30lb for top water and frogs?
Ditto for MN - we get some thick milfoil and the lily pad stems are really strong. 50# is what I use on my frogging reel. And that's with the state record LMB being 8#15oz.

The official "Who's drinking tonight?" thread
For me, that describes every American beer. The only brew worth the time.

Professional anglers really need to stop doing the horizontal lip-hold.
I'd almost prefer that to the 'intense look of disappointment' I got the last time I forgot my phone.

Oh I have experience with them - the old runabout had a 1972 40hp Evinrude on the back. Those things just don't want to die.

Will High Gas Prices Affect Your Fishing?
I was doing work-study at the college I was attending - they paid more than the commercial businesses at the time.

Will High Gas Prices Affect Your Fishing?
And the difference between my earnings ($2.65/hr part-time) and the price of gas at the time ($1.35/gallon) was a lot slimmer than today....and I was driving a 73 Plymouth Cuda that got about 8MPG...and my girlfriend lived 14 miles from me. You do the math

And now I have a motor Local guy is a certified OMC mechanic - he not only runs a repair shop out of his garage, but buys older non-working motors to 30hp and rebuilds them before selling them 1973 Evinrude model 25352A - 25hp electric start. He ran it for me when I went to look at it. Started right up, idles smooth, shifts easily, and churns water quite well. I'll take a pic when I get it on the boat.

Will High Gas Prices Affect Your Fishing?
All the launch points I'll use are within 15 minutes of me - so I hear you there. 14' Alumacraft - modified of course - and I'm looking at a 25hp Envinrude this afternoon.

Cheap grilling meats...
Sometimes it only takes one. When I went into the Air Force - there was still mom, dad, and my sister at home - but mom's grocery bill was cut in half...ya, even at 20 I ate that much.

swimjig/jig hookup ratio?
Or any trailer really. I've had what I thought were solid bites, set the hook...and nothing. Bring the jig in and my Pit Boss is missing one of its trailing 'flappers'.

Yep - major part is that they must be visible 22.5+ degrees aft of abeam (directly to the side). A quick check and mine are visible 34 degrees aft of abeam.

Their site says 112.5 degrees - mounted at the slight angle I have them, they should be visible to 90+ degrees port/starboard and as seen in the vid, they're both visible for a bit either side of directly forward.
