  1. I'm doing about 5 things at once now...but some are 'hurry up and wait' (like being back in the Air Force) Sealing - put a coat on something, wait 12 hours, repeat 3 time for each piece...though I can do 3-4 pieces at a time Carpeting - put glue on piece, lay it on carpet, weigh it down, wait 24 hours, cut 2" around edges, staple to back...repeat for all pieces Painting - prime, wait 8 hours, 2-3 coats of color with 8 hours between coats. Cutting pieces - almost done here, just the hatches in the casting deck to finish then size...need a 7/16" gap to fit the carpet between pieces...like hatch covers Looking for a main motor - might have found one at a local Merc dealer, 1990 15hp short-shaft for under $1000 Anyway - floor is carpeted an in (Posted from my Galaxy Tab-8)
  2. I actually prefer split-grips to full grips...can't explain why.
  3. I'd do both on the 733 I do jerks on my FR703C/Supreme with 10# YZH If I did weightless flukes on a casting rig - it'd be the same rig - right now I toss them on my FR703SF/President XT-LE 30 with 8# InvizX Ya, I like Furys too.

I'll occasionally toss Comets in #3 and #4 when working shallow areas.
  5. In Minnesota, you need to get a permit from the DNR to sink any type of artificial structure...that includes things like sinking christmas trees.
  6. The Galloping Gourmet was my 'cooking addiction'.
  7. If we're going there... "The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour"
  8. He had a good life though, I know you and Lynn gave him lots of love.
  9. The Champ is a much better rod. My budget only allows Furys though.
  10. Nope - MH/MF would be good for WP-75 and 90 - maybe a little heavy for the 60 and a little light for the 110 and 130
  11. Mod-Fast would work fine for spinners and chatters - also is great for crankbaits.
  12. Just don't try to 'swing for the fence' when setting the hook and you should be fine.
  13. I toss my WP-90s on a Fury 704 (MH even though they call it a Heavy) - but the Fury has a softer tip than a true Fast action.
  14. If it's not the exact formula epoxy they use - there'd be a color difference.
  15. Send/take it back - warranty repair. If you fix it yourself, you void the warranty.
  16. Versatility is the name of the game with a MH - I call it the 'Swiss Army Knife' of rods. A MH/F will do quite a number of things...probably the most versatile rod in any arsenal. I have two of them in my lineup for that reason. Probably not damage if you weren't trying to toss it into orbit - but you're not getting the distance you can get using a more suitable rod.
  17. Daiwa DX Swimbait Rod - the MH is rated for 1oz-6oz lures. Right at that $100 price-point.
  18. Ya - 1/2oz spinner actually weighs more than 1/2oz. That rating is just for the head-weight. Now add the hook, skirt, blades and you're closing in on 3/4oz - the top end of the suggested lure-weight for that rod. Add a trailer and you're really over-loading it. Yep - only time I drop to a Medium power for spinners is tossing my 1/4oz finesse spinnerbaits.
  19. I'll double check that before I lock things down...it's still a bit away. Rate it's going...might be beginning of June before this beast is ready to launch.
  20. Visual for you - this is my Pflueger Patriarch, but most reels have the AR bearing situated in the same place.
  21. The way @Glenn brings them into his boat in his videos....grab the line and haul it in that way...rod never takes the load.
  22. Long as he stays on the straight and narrow - then he's fine no matter what your squick is. Continuous season, so taking egg-laden crappie is legal.
  23. Note - the limit is actually 10 for in-state waters (Minnetonka for example) 2022 Regs page 22 Also, Legally he can only have 10 crappie in his possession...that's livewell PLUS freezer. 2022 Regs page 12
