  1. Worse luck to be pulled over by sheriff's water patrol and get hit with a BUI...no alcohol on my boat.
  2. Agreed - though I do toss 1/4oz chatters on my FR703 - but 3/8 and up go on my Aird-X MH/F, which would equate more to a 704. My FR704 is my jig/T-Rig/bottom contact rod.
  3. Ya - there is some torsion going on there - but I've been using spinning for way longer than casting...I'm just to point that I pretty much ignore it.
  4. ^ This - I toss small jerks on a President XT-30/Fury 703SF. With 3 fingers in front of the stem, it balances well and I have no issue giving the jerks the proper action.
  5. This past winter I did one main rig purchase Daiwa CA-80/Fury 765FLIP Split flip/pitch/punch off of my heavy rig which is now strictly for frogging and larger topwater (Super Spooks, WP-110+, etc) So I'd vote for a dedicated flip/pitch rig.
  6. For bass - 6 casting, 4 spinning for the boat; 1 casting, 2 spinning for shore. I still can't skip worth a darn with casting, so one of my boat spinning rigs is a MH/F for skipping jigs, spinners, chatters, etc. I've also got a ML/MF spinning for light cranks that does double duty as a second finesse rig.
  7. None of my serving relatives were there for D-Day...but one celebrity was. Part of the Canadian Army landing at Juno Beach - took out two snipers himself.. Later that night, he was shot by a nervous sentry (friendly fire) with a Bren - 4 in the leg, 1 in the chest deflected by a cigarette case, and 1 took off most of his right middle finger. Retrained as a pilot for artillery observation - labeled "craziest pilot in the Canadian Air Force" due to him slaloming telegraph poles during training at RAF Andover because..."to prove it could be done."...got a reprimand on his record for that stunt. After the war, went into acting...and I think everyone knows him.
  8. Sorry, Chris - you can't mix lead-acid and Lithiums in the same bank. The discharge properties are different and charging is completely different. A charger that'd work on a Lithium won't properly charge a lead-acid, and a charger for lead-acid would scramble the control circuit of a lithium rendering the battery useless...and void the warranty.
  9. I couldn't get the F-9 in the water before ordering my TM - but I did find a faint waterline mark on the hull...so used that as my base...then checked the chart.
  10. Na - I just read labels and instructions....my AGM's specifically state "Do not install upside down". I've seen that on others too.
  11. Any orientation except upside-down. There's a pressure relief valve on the top...can't have that on the 'bottom'.
  12. Would that end up as the bayou version of a Nantucket sleighride?
  13. You need the paid version to add waypoints to the app. Dunno about the 'private' marking...I haven't bothered to check that.
  14. No idea - tell ya what...I'm putting a small AGM in the F-9 as my starting battery (and only as the starting battery) for the 25hp. Come back to me a in few years and I'll let you know. (actually, I'd like to know this too.)
  15. Ummm...Chris - AGM is lead-acid...just a different method of containing the electrolyte (acid)...held in a glass mat instead of being allowed to 'slosh' around.
  16. Minnesota makes it easy - no snagging of ANY fish. Minnesota Statutes 97C.331 SNAGGING FISH PROHIBITED. Subdivision 1.General prohibition. A person may not: (1) intentionally take fish by snagging; or (2) use a snag line, snag pole, snag hook, or cluster of fish hooks, designed to be placed in or drawn through the water to hook the body of a fish. Subd. 2.Lake Superior tributaries. On tributaries to Lake Superior below the posted boundaries, and on tributaries to Lake Superior with no posted boundaries, a fish that is hooked in any part of the body except in the mouth must be immediately unhooked and returned to the water.
  17. Uhh - nope Unless you print out the maps to hardcopy and draw on that.
  18. Forget the rest - go with the best https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/seaguar-gold-label-fluorocarbon-leader
  19. I like that SNW is more episodic than Discovery - harkens back to the original...which I got hooked on back in 1966. If you want to watch it - you need Paramount Plus...that's where it's streamed every Thursday.
  20. ^ This - you don't even want to combine different types of Lead-Acid. If you go flooded - make them all flooded Same with Gel and AGM - do NOT mix types. And as already stated, you want to try your best to match age/capacity as well. If you're going 36v - then all three should be the same AH rating - and buying all the same brand/model is a very good idea.
  21. You win - at least Hack got through that barrier....barely.
  22. I don't wanna talk about it.
  23. I had a gel in my old runabout - for the minor difference in price between Gel and AGM...go with the AGM, it's better all around.
  24. And people wonder why this myth still exists...
  25. Ya - with the canoe it was all 3700 & 3600 boxes in bags. Building the F-9 - I custom made 4 dry-boxes to fit 3700s and 2 dry-boxes to fit 3600s...so ya, the boat is becoming my tackle box as well.
