  1. Unless you have some tech place put a chip in it - you're out of luck. Like Slone said - if you're not using it, lock it up.
  2. I do it different - mainly because I don't do BFS and I skip using spinning gear.
  3. They have one left - the President XT. I actually wrote them asking about the other lines - specifically the Patriarch (got two now, want more). Answer back was 'we have no plans to add more series to our baitcasting reels' So it looks like the Pres-XT is it for Pflueger casting reels for the foreseeable future....and only in 7.3:1 (31IPT), right handed.
  4. Rubber coated net like stated previously...only thing I don't net are panfish...
  5. Guys with BFS rigs can cast those light lures just as far as I can with my spinners - again, it's just what you're use to..
  6. Ya - cause anyone who can stand the taste HAS to be very good. (I've yet to try an energy drink that doesn't taste like something a maggot would turn it's nose up at)
  7. For the Scout, I built a couple of rod-racks from 1/2" Sandalwood and PVC that were secured to the hull behind the seat. Yes, I used leashes one end attached to screw-eyes into the wood.
  8. Dottie is an old story. This article tells about how Mac caught her in 2006...then the report in 2008 that Dottie had died. https://bassfishingfacts.com/world-record-chaser-the-story-of-dottie-the-25-pound-largemouth-bass/
  9. John...shut it down before ML takes over...again. Please....
  10. Six spools of 15# BasiX would run 59.94 and give you 1050yds. Just sayin'.
  11. Local stores here have dispensers of reverse-osmosis, ultraviolet-light treated water. $0.39 per gallon for refills, $0.50 for a new jug. Jug lasts me 10-12 refills. As bad as our municipal water here is, I'd be replacing cartridges in a filter about twice a month....getting the refills at the store is way cheaper.
  12. I couldn't skip standing in my old runabout either. Practice skipping in the street? I turn the line on a BC into something looking like a cat got into the yarn box. Nope - sticking with what I know works for me - MH/F spinning rig for skipping...I'm getting too old to learn new skills anyway.
  13. It also makes your lures Vanish as they fly off into the sunset when the line snaps on a cast Vanish, IMO, should be relegated to the trash-bin.
  14. Ya - going lighter with either/both means you need to take a little more care. My RZT-1000/Fury 702sf rig for general finesse work - 10#832 to 6# InvizX...haven't had the FG slip/fail yet. I run 22 turns (11 pairs), just a couple half-hitches to lock...no Rizzuto finish.
  15. While three of my spinning rigs are for finesse - one isn't. Despite practice, despite trying - I still can't skip worth a darn with a BC...so I got a MH/F spinning rig (3/8-1-1/4oz) that I skip jigs, spinners, chatters, etc with. Accuracy gets mentioned here - I've been using spinning rigs half-again as long as I've been using BCs, and I'm plenty accurate with them. The blanket statement of "BCs are inherently more accurate than spinners" is hogwash...it's all about what you're use to. Use what you're good with - don't take someone else's word about 'right and wrong' rigs to use. There's plenty of bass fishers out there who use nothing but spinning rigs and do quite well.
  16. Oh they can get bigger - MN state record Pumpkinseed is 1lb5oz
  17. If you cut out that second one, the third wouldn't be needed.
  18. Laugh back at them - first 15 years of my fishing, all I had were spinning rigs.
  19. Shakey, Wacky, whatever My boat arsenal has 6 casting, 4 spinning My shore arsenal has 1 casting, 2 spinning I'm never without a spinning rig.
  20. Daiwa Reels Dobyns Rods Z-Man - jigs, chatters and plastics Have to buy my Zoom, but they're affordable.
  21. Umm - it's only the 7th of June, 2022 now...so do you mean it ends on the 30th?
  22. Considering the number of people killed while a drunk boat-driver ran amok....not about this. Last year, 15 people lost their lives due to an intoxicated person driving a boat. That's why MN's drunk boating penalties are the same as drunk driving...up to and including losing your boat.
