  1. Did you actually make picks for this past weekend?
  2. Could have done better I suppose, but I'll take it.
  3. Ya - we got this to look forward to in the coming week.
  4. I've got the Fury 704C for jigs, T-rigs and other bottom-contact techniques. I like it and think it would work good for you.
  5. It's as true today as it was back then.
  6. Well...as per my average - I got one going into tomorrow - Christie G-Man, Cox and Seth all came in with short-bags. (sighs)
  7. If you're worried about Pure Fishing products....get all the Plano boxes/bags you want now...PF bought them almost a year ago.
  8. They don't own it outright like they do VMC, Sufix, Storm and others - they just own 49% of 13-Fishing...and international distribution rights. https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2019/07/09/1880298/0/en/RAPALA-VMC-CORPORATION-RAPALA-ACQUIRES-49-OF-DQC-INTERNATIONAL-CORP-OWNER-OF-13-FISHING-ROD-AND-REEL-BRAND-INVESTS-IN-THE-COMPANY-AND-CONCLUDES-A-PERPETUAL-WORLDWIDE-LICENCE-AND-EX.html
  9. If you have a tablet or smart-phone, you can run the app on that. My Garmin is a Striker - no built in maps...so I have the app running on my 8" Galaxy Tab. With the GPS active on the tablet, I basically have the mapping that the Echomaps have.
  10. Hang on, man - sunny and 52 here now...you should see it in a day or two.
  11. The battery platform is cut out, 2-coats of Spar Urethane on top-side, 2nd coat on underside is drying now. I've been cutting out templates from cardboard, rear section is almost done. Starting to work on the electrical system. Mounted the fuse-box to a sheet of 1/4" HDPE. Main circuit breakers mounted to just inside where the hatch to the battery compartment will be. Port side is the 50amp for the TM, starboard side is the 30amp for everything else. Close-up of the 50amp Press the red 'test' button, a lever pops out to the right and the circuit is open, flip the lever back into it's slot and the circuit is closed. Used this way, it functions as a cut-off switch dispensing the need for a separate one.
  12. FC has higher overall stretch on average than Nylon - the difference it that it requires more force on the line to START the FC stretching...there's where the added sensitivity comes in.
  13. Exactly - my pair of President XT-30s and my Supreme 30 are all 6.2:1. On a BC that would be 24-IPT or less...these all run 31-IPT - same as my President XT BC 7.3:1 and just under the 32-IPT of my Patriarch 7.9:1
  14. There's a Navionics app available for Android and IOS - they don't have a Windows or Mac version. it's proprietary data and only available in a portable form a few ways On a fishfinder that supports Navionics data. On an Android or IOS device running the app. On any device using the website. Don't know of any way to get the Navionics data to overlay on Google Earth - though the Navionics maps do show roads, towns and launch ramps.
  15. I'm above the 50% mark...is that good?
  16. They're operating out of Belarus and just using the Navionics maps via links...wonder if they're paying Navionics for the privilege of linking https://webrate.org/index.php/site/fishermap.org/ "Fishermap.org belongs to Republican Unitary Telecommunication Enterprise Beltelecom" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beltelecom "Republican unitary enterprise Beltelecom is the national telecommunications company in Belarus, fully owned by the Government of Belarus" https://scamalytics.com/ip/178.127.76.222 "IP address 178.127.76.222 is operated by whose web traffic we consider to present a potentially medium fraud risk. This IP address is owned by Republican Unitary Telecommunication Enterprise Beltelecom whose web traffic we also consider to present a potentially medium fraud risk." I'd skip the overseas site and just use the Navionics site... If you do use Fishermap - have a VPN up, and make sure your anti-virus/anti-malware software is current.
  17. The first plastic I turn to...caught a number of bass using it.
  18. Navionics website is free for online use...I use it all the time and save maps using the Win-7 Snipping Tool. https://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=en#boating@1&key=kxyoDfo}_Q
  19. Not a 5.1, but close - Mitchell Avocet RZT-2000. 5.4:1, 25.0 IPT, 8.68oz...line roller has a bearing, so braid compatible. Yes, I have one, it's on an Okuma Celio L/MF for panfishing.
  20. I stopped reading at that point. I don't buy from BPS/Cabelas anymore...reasons.
  21. I looked over the STX...a number of people have complained about the palm-side plate just 'falling off'. One stated that the Abu tech he talked to told him to 'just use some tape to hold it on'. Ahhh...no....
  22. I'll have to do some investigating. The Patriarch 6-centrifigul combined with the magnetic is a joy to fish. I've looked at others, but the 4-centrifigul w/magnetic reels don't 'wow' me.
  23. For several months now, the only casting reel that shows up on Pflueger's site is the President XT. I've tossed e-mails at them several times asking about this...finally got a response. This is a shame as I love my Patriarchs and am very happy with my Supreme. With Mitchell downgrading their line to only 2 models of spinning reels, and Pflueger working to remove the AR switch on their spinning reels - I'm starting to look at other brands for my upgrading. Anyone else disappointed that Pflueger seems to be getting out of the casting reel business?
  24. I hear you there, Andy. I think my prediction was a little long - we're moving along on Tonka...all the channels are open and a couple of the smaller lakes in the chain are near 1/2 open. I think it's gonna be between average (13 April) and my prediction (27 April) when we have official ice-out here.
