  1. I'll probably film part of the Styrofoam installation tomorrow or Thursday...when ever I get back to working on it.
  2. I prefer the Zoom Fat Albert Twin Tail - but they're pretty much the same Trailer on jigs, chatters, spinners - rig horizontal (tails to the sides of the hook) Or on a 1/4oz Beetle Spin.
  3. Cutting and fitting of the Styrofoam continues...another day and it should be done. Glue the outside pieces to the side channels, then some 1" wide bar aluminum for hold-downs (to prevent the pour foam expansion from dislodging the Styrofoam) and I'll be ready to pour.
  4. Bank fishing...I have three rigs dedicated...and none is a boat rig - ya, I got 14 rigs total.
  5. Been there, done that. One outing this past year it was nothing but a chatterbait. Another outing, I think I went through 1/4 of my lures...still got skunked.
  6. I'm actually going DOWN. Last year it was 12 rigs in the canoe, this coming year it's only 11 in the boat.
  7. Kya probably gave as good she got though.
  8. I had a small kit I kept in the pocket of one of my tackle bags in the canoe. Got a bigger one that's going in the side-storage (with the spare oar, toss-cushion, etc) in the boat.
  9. Single tail - away from the hook. Twin tail - off to the sides.
  10. Black Lake has had small cars and small SUVs on it for several days now.
  11. Ah...just give Russ something for his trailer and he turns into a puddy-tat.
  12. Yesterday's high was 6 It's already 11 here this morning - heading for above freezing...33 is the predicted high today.
  13. Lipped cranks - 2x3700 boxes of them...rarely throw them. I'm more a lipless guy for cranks, and only have 1/2 a box. What's wrong with this picture?
  14. Sounds like one Christmas the wife and I spent with her mom in Boca. We were out by the pool, temp was around 65...her mom came out with a sweater saying "I don't want you to catch cold." "Mom, the wind chill was -36 when we got on the plane at MSP yesterday, this is 100 degrees warmer. We're fine."
  15. Chris...when you come home and are done with it, you can just drop it off in my driveway on your way past. Nice rig, dude!
  16. I toss 1/16oz jig heads with plastic on mine - remember that you have to add the hook and plastic to the weight to get the real total...jig head printed weight is just for the lead/tungsten. Of my 11 boat rigs - 6 are Furys, 2 are Diawa Aird-Xs, 2 are Okuma Reflexions A's and one is a Diawa Procyon. If I upgrade the Aird-X rods...it'll be to more Furys or maybe Sierras (limit of my rod budget)
  17. TW is still showing $90.99 for the Fury rods - but the sale ends tonight. Dobyns Fury Spinning Rod 7' Med Lt - this is the Fury 702SF, which is what I use as my general finesse rod. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Dobyns_Fury_Spinning_Rods/descpage-DFFS.html
  18. Glad we could help you out.
  19. Okay - I'll play along - it's not set in stone yet, but this is how it's shaping up for 2022
  20. I do use mine to store yard/garden tools and vehicle maintenance items (jack stands, fluids, grease gun, etc). Long tools (shovels, rakes, etc) hang from a peg-board I have mounted on one side. Smaller gardening supplies and vehicle items are on Rubbemaid shelving units. Right now, I have another Rubbermaid shelf-unit in the back where I'm temporarily keeping items for the boat work.
  21. Might want to check B.A.S.S. Nation - see if they have an Open in your area. https://www.bassmaster.com/bass-nation Tourney-X also has links to tournaments all over the country...including a month-long, regional CPR series. https://tourneyx.com/app/tournaments/
  22. I've got a partial tuck-under...but how it's placed, I can't maneuver the truck to get it in. So the boat (formerly the canoe) is what's relegated to the garage.
  23. Ummm...I might have a corner in the basement free. Have to share it with the furnace though...the concrete floor is cold, so are the cinder-block walls. there's no window and only one electrical outlet.
  24. We have 186 Conservation Officers to patrol 11,842 lakes and 8,100 miles of rivers and streams...I think we're a little short. 13 new COs join the force https://www.startribune.com/arriving-at-a-heightened-time-new-conservation-officers-open-up-about-their-outdoors-lives/600007978/ Lake and River totals (near the bottom of this page) https://www.gamewardenedu.org/minnesota/
  25. Oh come on, Lovecraft is good bed-time stories.
