  1. I think that one's older than I am - I remember hearing it when I was teen....over 45 years ago.
  2. And we've lost power here Hope it comes back soon, otherwise it's gonna get chilly in the house.
  3. 30 years ago between the wife and I, we were making almost 4 times that. Now-days with inflation, 2800 a month is equal to 1/2 what it was back then...so converting - we were pulling in almost 8 times (in value) what the OC is now...and I bought used.
  4. As I mentioned above - Wells Fargo does that with my debit card...course I've had a 'premier' account with them for 30+ years. It pays to stick with one bank and not bop around searching for better rates/service...stick with a bank, they'll give you those after long enough.
  5. I think the last time I partied for New Years was back in the early 80s. Now I'm usually in bed at least an hour before it hits midnight. Might cook up something special for dinner - we don't go out...ever.
  6. 4-1/2 months to bass opener Maybe I'll have the boat done by then.
  7. I'd like our daytime HIGHS to be in the 20s Brrrrrrr.
  8. Sounds like New Years down here pal. Twin Cities forecast Friday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around -11. North northwest wind around 10 mph. New Year's Day Partly sunny and cold, with a high near -4. North northwest wind around 10 mph. Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around -19. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. You DO know this stuff heads your way after hitting us... Deal with it - I'm sure Kya and Tank will keep you warm
  9. Another inch or two yesterday - and this morning it's currently 7 below.
  10. I'll go up to .011 diameter - course that means different tests for different lines Yo-Zuri Hybrid - 8# InvizX/Tatsu - 12# Trilene XL - 10#
  11. Only time I use an offset for T-Rigging a DS is on 'bulky' plastic. If it's a Senko or other stickbait...Neko hook.
  12. 3/32 and 3/16 shakey heads on a 7' M/F spinning rig. Baby Brush Hog, 4" Chigger Craw or Zoom Finesse Worms on the lighter head; Brush Hog, Missile D'Stroyer, 6" Zoom Lizard or Zoom Trick Worm on the heavier.
  13. Well, Skate Warehouse and Inline Warehouse have the same business address - so those two are a safe bet. https://www.dnb.com/business-directory/company-profiles.tackle_warehouse.d0bbf08fbc1bccbff82bb122f38cacca.html
  14. When the ice starts breaking up, I spool my light rigs as I use them for panfishing. Since bass/walleye/pike season doesn't open here until mid-May, I don't spool the rest up until the first week of May.
  15. Pluto TV also has it...I have that on my tablet, and it's watchable on your PC.
  16. Bass Pro/Cabelas has the President XT Limited Edition on special for $59.97 - great reel for the price...I own two 30s (about a 2500 size) https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/pflueger-president-xt-limited-edition-spinning-reel
  17. It's about the same size as the 4" Berkley Pit Boss that I normally use on 3/8 oz swim jigs - 4" Strike King Rage Claw and 4" Berkley Chigger Claw are alternatives. 1/2 oz - I'd probably start with a 6" Zoom Brush Hog, Missile D'Stroyer or Zoom Lizard
  18. Use the one you already have for the chatterbaits and T-Rigs Get the 6.2 for the crankbaits and topwaters (spooks, WPs, etc)
  19. That's one of the things on my NEXT year's list...can't afford it for 2022.
  20. At that age, I was halfway through my Air Force time. Had a 10 year old Pontiac Ventura and no boat. Did all my fishing from the shore.
  21. A Fury 765 will handle almost all your flip/pitch/punch needs an it's $10 less than the 805. Currently on sale at TW for $90 For a reel - you want a fast reel to get them out of the slop quicker. TW has the Diawa Fuego CT for $110...get the 8.1:1. It's a much better reel than the 13 Fishing one.
  22. Last year was a major drag for me. 8 times out, $25 for the base license plus $10 for the trout stamp...so $4.37 per trip for me.
  23. I have a Striker 7CV - upgraded from a Lowrance 4. Other than missing maps, I think the Garmin is an excellent unit...plus you can make your own maps with the unit.
  24. Pike and walleye too...with the occasional LMB.
  25. I'm with Brian - my bottom contact rig is straight FC And again, there are a number who go the braid/leader route.
