My plan for beating winter blues this year...
Not only that - they're probably laughing at us while rigging their boats while we stare at snow and ice-covered lakes.

TW BLACK FRIDAY SALE LAUNCHED EARLY!!!
They have to do that for a reason I've forgotten. But yes, some brands they mark as 'excluded'...but still give the discount at the checkout. They've always done that.

Looking at getting one of these Fish Finders on Black Friday
First thing I though of was Ram - but the largest track-mount they have only supports up to a 73xV...93xV and up use bolt-on mounts. Scotty might have a solution - but I'd probably check with them to be sure. 438 Gear-Head Track Adaptor 367 Universal Fish Finder Mount

I only ordered my rod from TW as the ALF sale wasn't up to snuff. Tossed in a AM Inflatable PFD, some line and a few Terminator 1/2oz Swim Jigs. More and more - and even before Covid - TW has been out-of-stock on items that I wanted. ALF, FishUSA and Academy have been getting the lions share of my business the last couple years. Did a BPS order, but that was only because I got a BPS gift card for my birthday - only went $4 over the card.

Garage Ceiling Rod Storage
I just leave the rods in the rack - reels are removed for winter and stored in a Sterilite 3-drawer unit in the basement.

They're not the only ones - BPS/Cabelas and FishUSA also have a discount for active military and veterans. BPS/Cabelas: "Committed to Honoring Our Military & Veterans While we can never thank our military and veterans enough for their sacrifices, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's proudly honor and celebrate them every day. In addition to offering a military discount every day in our stores, our respect and gratitude guides significant support for a number of programs and partnerships." FishUSA: "Military & First Responder Discount Programs FishUSA is pleased to honor our United States veterans and first responders with a 10% discount on our store. The discount is available to all active military men and women, and veterans of all military branches (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard) and active or retired first responders (police, fire, and EMS). To qualify for the discount, you must have an account on our store, and we must be able to verify your eligibility."

Anyone seen sores like these on bass before?
Almost looks like Anchor Worm - it's a parasite.

Sinking Jerkbaits That Float
Cold water is denser - I'm thinking Berkley set the sink for moderate temp waters, so yes, it'll float in cold water.

Money, money, money !!
And because of 'things' - both Bezos and Musk paid about 3% federal income tax last year while the rest of us hover around 17%. https://www.forbes.com/sites/sarahhansen/2021/06/08/richest-americans-including-bezos-musk-and-buffett-paid-federal-income-taxes-equaling-just-34-of-401-billion-in-new-wealth-bombshell-report-shows/?sh=51c904b17fe1

Daiwa Tatula 200 vs Curado K
For some it does, others 'compensate' by moving their hand faster...won't know unless you try it.
-
Daiwa Tatula 200 vs Curado K
Changing handle size only affects how fast you can turn it...gear ratio remains the same. Though a longer handle does give you a bit more torque.

Ya - now I'm as old as A-Jay again.

Daiwa Tatula 200 vs Curado K
Solved - go with the Curado...it's only a 1.5% difference, but A: It is the lower ratio B: You're already use to Curados

Daiwa Tatula 200 vs Curado K
If you like Curados - go with that one I got a Patriarch from their used area that was listed as 'Good' - other than some boat rash, it was mechanically perfect.

My MIL pays attention to my wish lists - little late for my B-Day gift (was Saturday) but I'm not complaining. 30 size to replace the Avocet RZT-2000 that'll go on one of my panfish/shore rods.

Garage Ceiling Rod Storage
Chris, in my case it's not an issue. Wife never goes downstairs, and the garage is a partial tuck-under.

Best budget bang for the buck spinning rod.
I've got a President-25 on the Fury 702...but I'd skip that now as a redesign for the 2020 model downgraded the quality. A decent Diawa or Shimano in the same price category would work fine. I've got backing of 6# Sufix Pro-Mix mono under 60yds of 10# Sufix 832 Hi-Vis with 8'-10' of 6# Seaguar InvizX as the leader Balance is good, weight is a bit more than some, sensitivity is better than other rods in it's price-group. If you can swing the Fury...get it...it's much better than the Aird-X and once the TW sale opens to everyone, it'll be only $103.

Well, my TW order is in - one rod, a new PFD and a couple 1/2oz jigs....that's it...rest of my cash this year goes into the boat.
