  1. Janns Netcraft or Barlow's Tackle If I need components, those are the only two places I look.
  2. If you're tossing your weight/plastic in the holes, I'd call that pitching. Punching is just that...punching through the mat with a heavy flipping weight to find the bass hiding underneath. For pitching, I'll use down to a 3/8oz weight, for punching nothing less than a 3/4oz will do and mostly it's a 1oz. For me, it's a fast technique...toss it in..jerk it a couple times...pull it up and try another spot.
  3. Ya - well it would need two things 1: Money to purchase and install 2: Place to put it - the house is only 850 FSF
  4. I went over the SDS for it - skin and eye irritant, but it's all plant derived so not truly 'toxic' like old-fashioned rat-poison.
  5. I use to be that way, until the wife's asthma got so bad that we can't use the fireplace...no matter how good your flue and draft are, there's always some smoke that gets into the house.
  6. 2004 actually...but ya, it wasn't until the 2020 reels that they started sliding downhill.
  7. Regular is running $3.19 here - I shop at my local Cub and for every $50 I spend there, I get $0.10 off a gallon at Holiday...the truck needs a fill now and I'll be paying $2.99 a gallon.
  8. I've never had issues like that from any of my delivery people. USPS - I've known my carrier for 25 years, Kathy is always courteous and careful with packages. FedEx Air - Belinda and I have been friendly-acquaintances for 15 years...we chat when we bump into each other around town...she also bass fishes with her husband when off-duty, so she 'knows' how to handle gear. FedEx regular - don't personally know the guy, but he's always careful UPS - Matt is another friendly-acquaintance going on 10 years now. Amazon - only 'gripe' I have is occasionally they deliver to the side door instead of the front door, otherwise no complaints.
  9. Past two years it's been 25%
  10. And a very informative line-hanging that was...planning on updating that anytime? Me - I got the boat-project to work on, a couple new reels, maintenance on the others...Imma gonna be busy.
  11. I've been very happy with my Dobyns Fury 705CB for cranks...I normally run lipless and squarebills on a M/F (Fury 703C)
  12. They'll probably kick off their yearly Dobyns sale on Monday....that's what they did last year.
  13. Diawa Aird-X - I have a 6'6" M/F that I use for shore fishing and I don't plan on replacing it anytime soon. For your fishing - the 6'6" ML/F - 4#-10# line, 1/8-1/2 lure - AIRX661MLFS
  14. Rapala Jointed Shallow Shad Rap is what I use for 4' and less water Rapala DT-Fat is also a shallow runner
  15. My old standby for chatters and swim jigs is a 4" Berkley Pit Boss
  16. Depends on the hook, the line, the rod. Hard haul (like in the shows) is for heavier rods, braid and large diameter hooks - like the heavy 4/0 on spinnerbaits, jigs, etc. Light wire hooks on mono/FC/hybrid is more a sweeping action, not a hard haul. Don't get fooled by the hype - FC stretches as much or more than mono...just takes a little more force to start the stretch. Frydog did a test a few years back to show the stretch of various lines Even sharp hooks need help to get into the roof of the bass' mouth...so yes, a hook set is still needed.
  17. Well, considering the wife usually gives me about a 1.5 - I'll take it...thanks. ?
  18. Anything other than Saturday. I know I've previously said 'any day', but Sat is my B-Day and the wife and I are doing something special that eve.
  19. Then go with a light rig...I use mine for trout, panfish and Ned Avocet RZT-1000 on a Procyon L/F with 4# YZH.
  20. And here I thought it was Uranus.
  21. Plano B-Series? 4x3700 or 6x3701 plus pockets for plastics and incidentals.
  22. Slow, Matt. Mine was used every canoe outing this past season...I'm still tempted to free up the cash to get another this year...gotta check the boat-budget though.
  23. What I would have done? Turn in Poachers (TIP) in Minnesota Report a violation in progress To report a violation, call 800-652-9093 24 hours a day, or key in #TIP on your cell phone.
  24. ^ What Brian said - same reasons for me.
  25. Watered down Scotch...yuck Tullamore Dew...neat...the only way to 'fly'.
