Line for falling presentations
Jigs, T-Rigs - any bottom contact I use FC (Patriarch 7.1:1 on Fury 704C) Braid is for my moving baits - spinners, chatters, etc (Patriarch 7.9:1 on Aird-X MH/F) Ya, two different combos.

Replacing kayak pedal drive for motor.
That was my solution - went from TM powered canoe to a 14' Tin-boat that I'm modifying this winter.

Firefox does encrypt them now - to export unencrypted takes an add-on.

Something epic for you to play it loud
I still prefer Tarja - especially her duet with Sharon. Another one I really like is Charlotte from Delain...her solo album since their breakup is pretty good too.

The Pres-XT SE sale? Seems to happen every year about this time at BPS...got one last year.

I'll take the options I have with Firefox and put up with the reduced performance. There are add-ons in my Firefox that I use regularly that I haven't seen available (or close to them) for Chrome...yes, I have Chrome installed too - rarely use it.

I picked up a 30 last year when they had the same discount. Excellent reel for the price, it's been rock-solid. Might have to free up some funds to get another this year.

Firefox is able to import bookmarks and saved log-in info (user-ids/passwords) from a number of other browsers. One thing I love right now - Mozilla account...my Firefox syncs bookmarks/log-ins across my desktop, netbook, tablet and phone so I don't have to manually input new/changed items in other devices when I add/change on one.

Casting Distance
Are the other rods Aird-X? I know I don't get the distance on my Aird 701MHF that I do on my Fury 704C despite them having very similar line/lure stats and using very similar reels. One thing is that the Aird is a bit stiffer than the Fury, so doesn't load up quite as well...that will affect casting distance.

Daiwa or Shimano
Black Friday, used market from reputable dealers - my two Patriarchs were bought used for under $100 each - new Furys from the same place on sale pre Black Friday for under $90 each. It's easy to get good combos for under $200 if you're patient and look around.

Daiwa or Shimano
Well, at least you paid about what it's worth. I know there's people who love their Black Max reels, but after playing with one, I decided to pass despite the price...ya, I'm a budget angler, so always looking to decent stuff at a good price.

Wife gave up on Safari on her I-Pad - went to Firefox.

Daiwa or Shimano
You can find good rods from those at decent prices. My current light crank rod is an Okuma Reflections - about $75 retail. Dobyns Furys are my other favorite 'budget' rod, and a sale every year at one place (that I can't name) that usually comes up before Black Friday lets me get them for under $90. I agree with Tom - skip the Black Max...find something better in your budget.

What is your jerk bait rod?
Smaller jerks - President XT-30 on a Fury 703SF with InvizX 8# Most jerks - President XT on a Fury 703C with Advance Mono 10#

Shimano stradic replacement parts
So my two Patriarchs that I paid less than $100 each are also not classified at their MSRP of $200? Color me confused...

Shimano stradic replacement parts
Ummm...the Stradic IS a $200+ reel

Daiwa or Shimano
I have an Aird-X MH/F and a Fury 704C - the Fury is my jig rod, the Aird-X is my moving baits rod. The Fury is more sensitive than the Aird-X, much better suited for lures that you need to feel. The SLX is in the Fury class based on what I've read here...so I agree with @newapti5 - get the SLX combo for jigs, use the Aird-X for topwaters/jerks

Cudos to BR

Boston actually - but ya...all the way to the east coast.- Spinning reel cleaning question
Easier than cleaning a baitcaster. I had a vid of cleaning my old Pflueger 640...but somehow I've lost it. But here's a vid of a guy doing a full tear-down clean of a Pflueger President. Most reels are pretty similar...it helps to have the breakout diagram of your specific reel, which should have been included when you bought it.- Cudos to BR
This is another one that keeps me here - considering the probability of a wide variety of both followed by members...let's just keep it out of here totally so we don't butt heads.- Co-Angler setup advice needed
Agreed - I'd cut that in half (at least) as a co-angler Keep: Denali spinning rig Denali casting rig Both Lews casting rigs Between those four you can handle just about everything you need to. - Post a photo a day!
