  1. 4-power might be a little stiff for a weightless...I use 4-power Dobyns for spinners, chatters, jigs and T-Rigs.
  2. A 3-power Dobyns can definitely toss a weightless Senko.
  3. If you were smart and used PayPal - dispute it with documentation. They'll get your money back to you...eventually...and 'ding' him.
  4. Back when I had the 14' runabout, that's exactly what I did for a livewell - 55qt cooler with a 'cooler kit'
  5. I don't lube an FG either. Ya, after finding this vid, I gave up my old method...which was the 'no tension'...I don't trust my teeth enough for the 'bite it' method.
  6. Just gotta make sure anything you put back is thoroughly dried - otherwise everything in that bag is gonna rust. I always dedicate one compartment to Silica Gel Packs - takes care of the rust as well as anything else.
  7. It's gotta be the BPS-370 boxes though. The Plano 3700 doesn't divide down into as many compartments. Crazy since Plano makes them both - BPS' version is just more logical IMO.
  8. I worked at a place where we used crimp-pins for electrical connections. The pins came in those containers and we usually just tossed them. I took a bunch home with me.
  9. Is it the pure spinnerbait box or the combo box. I have the combo and it handles the buzzbaits pretty well.
  10. Pretty much applies to any fish - they turn away, now you're getting 8-10# of pull from a 5-6# fish.
  11. Oh you too, eh. If I forget to cross a day off my calendar, I get messed up.
  12. Dunno about artificial trees - but check your state's regulations...some states (like mine) prohibit introducing anything to a body of water unless licensed/supervised by the DNR.
  13. They'll pack spray or mix-liquid foam into certain areas. Like around the rod-tubes in the rod-compartment. A little here and a little there adds up fairly quickly.
  14. I'm a little higher than RW - 3#-4# depending on the line I have on the reel. Turn it up as needed during a fight, but turn it back down again before the next cast.
  15. And they keep opening in my area. Stone St. Joe Auburn (home of the state record LMB)
  16. My one dealing with a lawyer, who was on my side vs a part of the government, went very well and I was entirely satisfied with his work. Take it as you may.
  17. No - it's fluorocarbon coated co-polymer. From their website - https://kastking.com/collections/fluorocarbon-line/products/kastking-fluorokote-fishing-line "It's a combination of the No.1 selling KastKing Copolymer Fishing Line with high-tech 100% fluorocarbon coating that reduces the line's visibility when immersed in water."
  18. Same here - 1/4oz weight is the 'break point'. That and heavier on BC, that and lighter on spinning.
  19. I'm a 'heavyweight' in BC - Pflueger President XT on a Dobyns 703C Anything lighter gets tossed on spinning gear.
  20. Happens everywhere. Hennepin county put in a 'temporary' tax to help fund the Metrodome. The 'Dome is gone, replaced...and that 'temporary' tax is still in place. Go to Carver county and you don't pay that extra.
  21. Or like this
  22. Some braid comes slick, others get slick from oils on your hands/sunscreen/bug spray/etc. I've just always put the line in the crease behind that first joint to make sure it's secure when casting with spinning gear...and that's 50+ years of using spinners.
  23. I always make sure to put the line behind the first joint of the finger I'm holding it with...prevents the line from slipping out from behind the finger. It's not slipping on the spool - it's slipping out from behind your finger.
  24. And I've gotta test out this winter's mods on the canoe and make maps with the Striker...so the lead time is nice in a way for that.
