  1. If you know who actually makes the rod for them, it's a more informed choice.
  2. Today is not looking good - only one of my four fishing has caught anything so far. I know it's still fairly early in the day, but really?
  3. It's not in MY yard though (pouts) (jk - glad you finally got her sold, Paul...I know you'd been trying for a bit)
  4. All but one of my spinners are spooled up - 1 straight InvizX, 1 Smackdown with InvizX leader. BCs are next - 3 will have FC - 2 AbrazX, 1 Tatsu
  5. I'm about the same but the wife and I came to an agreement. So long as we don't poverty ourselves, she won't complain about me buying more fishing gear so long as I don't complain about her buying more bullet-journal things. (this was after I begged her to let me get 'just one more rod and my line-up will be complete'...and she put up that deal)
  6. One more rod coming in - just ordered today - then I'm set. Spent Yule money stocking up on favorite hardbaits and plastics and adding a few more to the stash. Only way I'll need to get more is if the bass tear them up willy-nilly. Fishing here is six months max (mid-April to mid-October - bass season is one month less (starts mid-May)...so I really should be pretty much set for the year.
  7. Ya. I didn't pick Austin this time...maybe grab him for Pickwick.

What NB said about where/when Regular frogs - Booyah Pad Crasher Popping style - River2Sea Spittin' Wa
  9. One of the things I like is that Seth Feider, who fishes Minnetonka a lot when he's not on the road, shares his tips and trick for the lake. Given the home situation - scheduling to fish a tournament, even a short 1/2 day one, is almost impossible for me.
  10. I don't do tournaments - so I'll probably be sharing anything I can think of.
  11. Not that I know of - other than the good feeling you get from helping others.
  12. It's all dependent on what information the locals give. Omnia is based here in MN, and doesn't have staff to travel around fishing everywhere. So...make an account and start submitting.
  13. Ya - begged, pleaded and cajoled the wife and she let me order another rod. Nothing fancy, but one that fills a perceived gap.
  14. Again - better this time. My A, B, D, and E picks all move on to tomorrow.
  15. Na - just the basic service
  16. They're fairly new - occupy a part of a building about a stone's throw from my parent's house...30 minutes from my place. I'm signed up with them and I like the reports they've put out about my lakes.
  17. Takes more than just drying them out. Low oven for a while or short trip in the nuke to recharge them.
  18. Ya - another good option...but considering the size of the 'prey'...Zara Puppy would be my choice for a Spook.
  19. I just don't take it out if I consider it too windy - shore fish those days.
  20. Oooo - another mid-winter 'what if' thread....neat If I had to be so restricted - 3/8oz SK Tour Grade Swim Jig, Green Pumpkin - 4" Berkley Pit Boss trailer in Green Haze. That was my most productive lure last year - so one of my confidence baits.
  21. I posted a pic earlier in the thread - gives it a decent overview. Here's a shot of the rod-racks behind my seat when I was installing them - 6 rods per side. Like I also said - I'll be shooting a vid that highlights all my changes to the 'base model' once this year's mods are completed.
  22. The only thing that hits me wrong about the Vanfords is the high retrieve rate. For crankbaits I like it between 26IPT and 30IPT - my shallow/light crank reel is a President XT-30 and at 31IPT I have to slow the handle turn from my normal to get the cranks to track correctly. The Vanford 3000 has a 37IPT, even the 2500 is at 35IPT. If you're fine slowing down your handle turning to work the cranks - then you should be fine.
  23. Posted earlier - but comparing this round to St. Johns...I'm doing much better St. Johns at the end After round 1 on the Tennessee River
