  1. Pythons are non-poisonous.
  2. Not sure on that - I'd ask the DNR
  3. Now add to that - I'm working with only one eye here...
  4. Both of my 86 year old parents get their second dose this coming Tuesday. As a healthy person who passed the check just prior to my surgery last month, and my pre-op physical came up all 'green' as well as practicing distancing and mask wearing...I'm on the 'long list'.
  5. (blinks) That's an oxymoron - sonar IS sonic by definition SOund NAvigation and Ranging
  6. Well, the 'old' spinning rod and the new for cranks/jerks are both 7'0"
  7. Are you edging towards luddite territory?
  8. Define shorter? I use spinning gear for lighter cranks and jerks. Changing from a MH/M rod to a ML/MF rod this year to make it easier to toss the lighter baits.
  9. I usually only spool 70 yds or so of any mainline with mono backing taking up the rest of the space.
  10. Ya - gonna have to wait for YouTube as I don't get WFN either.
  11. Is it just going to be on OC - or can we watch it someplace else? The two services I have for streaming don't carry OC and our budget doesn't allow another service.
  12. Ya - a good battery, even lead-acid, will set you back some. I've got a West Marine (made by East Penn) 75AH deep-cycle, Lead/Calcium that ran me $170. The canoe is electric only and that one battery runs the TM, Sonar, a camera and my Galaxy Tablet an entire trip out and still registers 12.0v-12.1v at the end of the day.
  13. 6'10" to 7'2" seems to be the median length range for 'versatile' rods...that one's right in the range.
  14. Personally - having Aird-Xs in my inventory and having handled Colts...I'd take the Aird-X over the Colt.
  15. Rod I ordered that was just delivered today would probably do the trick for you. $75 from just about anywhere.
  16. In the process of changing out oil-felt drag washers for carbontex. This is the second reel of four for the 1mm, then it's on to the reels that need .8mm.
  17. Dinner is served. Nice day, man. Still waiting on open water here.
  18. To me, those stats on line/lure look more like a MH, not a M...probably why it's rated as a M+
  19. Swimming sonar/camera combo with AI control and Wi-Fi transmission to a HUD display that shows direction, range, depth, species and size.
  20. Well, there are some limits....dweeb. (jk)
  21. It's more for your safety. Water about the temp of a hot sauna or a bit warmer will be enough to 'fix' the plastic...and this way you don't have the chance to burn yourself.
  22. I don't care about the color. It had the power/action I was looking for at a price in my budget.
  23. Okay - absolutely the last purchase this season (unless I can sell some stuff) As it's a MF action rod, it's for light cranks and jerks...but it'll also be another finesse rod. Putting an Avocet RZT-2000 on this with 8# InvizX.
  24. Standard fix for most plastics is to put them in a pot of hot - not boiling - water for a period of time. Watch them until they 'straighten out', then take them out to cool.
