  1. As far as I know, you have to wait until this tourney is over - but you can join after it to get into the rest of them. Give it a try on Monday after the final round of this one is over tomorrow.
  2. And my home-town boy runs up the ladder to make the cut. Wishing Seth good luck tomorrow.
  3. I've got a couple pair of Fiskars (1-5" and 1-4") that I've been using for years at the bench...they've handled everything so far and are still razor sharp - you get what you pay for with scissors FAIC. Ya, Boomerrang cutters on a retractable holder clipped to my PFD in the canoe. I replaced the built in, cheap retractor rig with a heavy duty 'badge clip'...a little work and it's MUCH better.
  4. Disappointing the fans by not even showing up at the weigh-in...wonder what his sponsors are going to think about that.
  5. If you want a quality spinning setup and at a decent price - this is close to my current finesse rig Pflueger President XT-LE (limited edition) - currently on sale at BPS for $50 - 25, 30, and 35 size https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/pflueger-president-xt-limited-edition-spinning-reel Dobyns Fury 702SF - Sportsmans Outfitters (from what I read here) has a sale currently Less than $150 total for the rig.
  6. Oh right - throw it in my face. Totally missed that earlier. Thanks, Andy.
  7. I tried to find that one - not only pound test, but line type as well.
  8. Ya, I got a Brother P-Touch that I use for all my labeling needs.
  9. I'd go with a 25 in Pflueger - the 20 is an Ultra-light - equivalent to most other reel's 500 size. the 25 is closer to a 1000 size. I went from a 20 to a 25 for my finesse techniques as the 20 was too small.
  10. Darn it all - what I got was Junebug Rage Craw...should have waited. (grumbles)
  11. Just saw that update on BassTrakk - the Hack-Attack is on...
  12. Yep - I'm in the bottom because of that. Come on Rick, at least show up to the weigh-in...it's like he had a tantrum because he didn't catch a good bag and he decided to 'take his toys and go home'. I know it might be a little petty of me, but he's not going on my fantasy list anymore.
  13. I saw Cliff catch that one, and the guys talked about 2016 when he had the live-well issue...that's gotta be heartbreaking. And Cliff talking about it...and it still bugs him.
  14. Ya - they're looking at -26 for us...with a -36 wind-chill. +20 would be a heat-wave.
  15. Ya - I like listening/watching Gene...great info.
  16. Ya, well currently the reports have an average ice thickness of 17" on Minnetonka...with temps not going above zero for a few days, that'll probably increase. Gonna be a bit before it all melts.
  17. I just got done with a re-org in my work area including a clean-up of the work bench. Now I can finally get to the maintenance of my reels. Course it's another couple months before ice-out...so I should have time.
  18. Not a problem - the size difference isn't that much. I've put #6 hooks on when having to replace #7s and there wasn't a problem. I've even put #1s on a lure that originally had #2s and it wasn't an issue either. So long as you don't go too far from the original size, go right ahead.
  19. "Mob rule' really sucks sometimes.
  20. Can I wave my white flag now?
  21. Ya, two of mine made the cut as well - lower down, but G-Man and Seth pulled up from well behind the pack. I'm still wondering what the heck happened to Mr. Clunn...bad time in FL for him this weekend. BassTrakk shows he got a couple...so not a zero.
  22. The Fuego/Aird-X combo is still, for the coming year, my H/F rig for pitch/flip/frog/topwaters. It'll be my third year with that combo and it's been very good for me.
  23. That's twice what I bought my house for.
  24. Well, the canoe expenses were lower than previous years, and I got more gift-cards and outright cash for Yule - so that results in more rigs/tackle.
