  1. Things have been arranged - I'll see you there.
  2. (facepalm) There's this sheet that comes with reels called 'Instructions'...maybe they need to learn to read.
  3. Yes, that's me...and you're obviously not a Trekkie.
  4. You sure? According to the schematic, it DOES have centrifugal brakes. http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/content/purefishing/ed-TEMPLARLPpdf Far as what I have - the list is in my signature.
  5. If I paid that much for a rod, I'd want the best people to handle any repairs. That means shipping it back to St. Croix and letting them do it. The fees are minuscule compared to what might happen if you take the 'cheap' route and end up having to replace it.
  6. Wife and I both on fixed income, house is barely 'above water' from the crash 10 years ago, limited savings that keeps getting eaten up by maintenance work on the house and truck. Nope, no way we could afford to move even across town much less to a different area of the country.
  7. Remove the bolded item and you got me to a 'T'.
  8. For bluegill or any panfish I'd recommend a Light or Ultra-Light rod with a 500 or 1000 size spinning reel loaded with 4# test line. My panfish/trout rig is a President 25 on a 6'6" Diawa Spinmatic Ultra-Light rod with 4# Berkley Trilene XL. I don't go after catfish, so can't help you there.
  9. That's how I'd route it. Course with my old runabout I didn't have to worry about that as the battery/gas compartment was open.
  10. It's not for the exhaust because outboards directly exhaust from the motor. It's for preventing gas-fume buildup in the enclosed space. If that ducting wasn't there and gas fumes collected...one spark from the battery and BOOM.
  11. (lying varmint)
  12. Darn it all...I'm 100 sq-ft over the limit. Guess I'll have to downsize. (No, I'm not joking...my house is 850 finished sq-ft)
  13. Considering my line-up, I could care less what rod/reel you use. If it works, it works.
  14. I'm not much given over to mythology - especially altered mythology.
  15. Their main 'weapon' is on the front...the claws. They back up with the claws in position so that they can defend themselves.
  16. Can we bar-b-cue him?
  17. 2 lengths of spinning rods, 3 of casting and only one power/action for each of those 5 rod selections. Very slim pickings and there's plenty of rods by others in that price range that cover a wide range of length/power/action selections.
  18. Add three rigs and that's about what my total haul over the winter was. Not to mention the canoe mods and the new trailer.
  19. Might want that looked at.
  20. I saw a couple guys out on Emerald Lake today - next few nights we're going to have below freezing temps...so it's not over yet here.
  21. Looks at the pics of 12Pound's local lake - looks at the pics of his own local lake...whimpers
  22. Out for some errands and stopped by one of my fishing holes. Have to still make holes if I wanted to fish it, but there is signs that it won't be long. Dutch Lake - 172 acres
  23. I went with the Cabelas Advanced Angler Tackle bag. Holds 6-3600 size boxes in the main compartment and one more in the front-zip compartment. Will also hold a 3500 in each of the side compartments. The shoulder strap seems well made and should hold up for a long time. It's the one on the left in the pic.
