What happened with all the 6’6” rods?
I think people have gotten taller. It’s inflation. I would assume.

Lost my taste !!
If you start wearing Jean shorts, anything that resembles Ed Hardy clothing, a backwards baseball cap with your sunglasses on top then you’ve REALLY lost your taste.

Unique/Different spinnerbaits
Is it me or did they change their skirt material? They seem to be more stuff and cheaper quality than before. I’ve switched to Terminator and haven’t looked back

Hook Eye Gaps
^that. Boat, insurance, gas, tackle, trailer etc. Spend the extra $1.37 on good hooks. Save your whole life, buy a corvette, put 87 gas from a mom and pop gas station…nah, not happening

Hook Eye Gaps
One of the great mysteries of the universe.. Up there with how firework stores stay open tear around and how Psychic reading stores go out of business. really, why leave a gap there. I never understood that. I’ve been 100% closed eye ever since.

Fishing Around Gators
It’s very rare we never see one on every fishing trip. Couple things I’ve learned: Don’t spook them. I had one surface facing away from me in my Jon boat. He was 11-12 foot. Turned around and we locked eyes for about 3 seconds..he thrashed away with such power it water came inside the boat and splashed us. When walking the bank, always walk at an angle towards the water, not straight down because you can walk up on them and not even see them. If I get to close and they don’t see me, I make my presence known by making noise. The 3-4-5 footers will chase anything you throw out there. They are like the old guy on the end of the street. Don’t say much. Don’t start nothing, but when he says ‘keep it moving, I don’t want any trouble’, you do that. 99.9% of the time, you barley notice they’re there.

Why the need to change hooks on a hard bait?
The guys that fish for a living I get. 100k rig, travel the country, put marriages in limbo with various nights at bars and questionable decisions that follow, makes complete sense to drop an extra $5 bucks. The guy that fishes once a month (maybe) at the same lake while pile-driving a 12 pack of slightly cold beer and cuts his line with the lit heater he has going when it’s time to re-tie and stumbles on an occasional 7+ pounder...why

Jerkbait question
Yes they will. Probably not as effective as the intended use but then again I saw my 12 year old son consume an entire thanksgiving meal without the assistance of utensils so when they want to eat, they’ll eat..

Fishing in Saint Pete/Tampa Area
Lake Seminole, Lake Tarpon around where you’ll be. As far as the salty stuff, hell I don’t know. They always talk about the ‘flats’ and something called shrimp and circle hooks

hey. now I know what's worse than being SKUNKED.
Well, there’s a lot of things worse than not catching a a bass my man. When you get no hit, pour you a glass of something mildy expensive and single batch with only a couple cubes of ice and tip your hat to’em. You’ll be back

Life can be tough
Real deal man. After 20 years in the game, I’ve found the kids are 99% of the time NOT the problem. Kids ain’t changed a bit. It’s the people who they go home to that have.

Help me become a better jig fisherman.
You’re not all in. Part time, wanting full time results. Want to get better? Bring 1 rod. It’s not the knot your tying or the line your using. That, I can guarantee you.

Lipless changing out hooks
I’ve found through extensive research that the closer I get a hook near a bass’s mouth, the hook up ratio increases. I realize this may not help you but it’s what the data has shown.

NCAA Football, NIL, here we go
I read the average NIL amount is something like $70 a month. That seems fair. In my opinion, the portal is what’s changing college football. It causes parity which is great for ratings because the games are closer due to teams like Bama, Clemson Ohio State not being able to run away from the pack. Downside. I have 3 kids now that are either FCS or D2 players. 95% of the schools I talk to said they’re waiting on the portal to see if they can land a D1 kid first. It’ll take two more seasons to balance out I think
