  1. ? I was thinking the same thing…
  2. Sell them to me…with the rod/reel In my experience, spinnerbait maybe the most ‘conditions based’ bait in the arsenal.
  3. My truck has so many miles on it all the dash ever says now is: ‘Good Luck!’ So I got that going for me..which is nice
  4. In my mind: I got the accuracy of a juvenile hawk on a cloudless day in spring. In reality: A middle aged pelican rolling the dice. Seriously, it is important. You catch more fish on the cast than you do on the bait..I’m almost certain of it
  5. Cheaper than drugs and alcohol but not by much…
  6. Get into good habits!! Habits are so much stronger than momentary motivation and inspiration..that stuff doesn’t last. Exercise/lifting/running is a bank account. If you do it without drugs there is no quick fix. Ain’t. None. You make your daily deposits, you’ll always have something in the tank to withdrawal from. Greatest thing it does is demands you show up everyday. Period. Sick. Hungover. Financial problems. Family issues. Hot. Cold. Early. Late. You show up. For me that’s the greatest transition to bass fishing. A lot of days I get punched squarely, directly in the face. If there’s gas and the boat has a charge, I’ll be back tomorrow. Good luck!
  7. So let me get this right. God co-signed on a truck for you and now you want to sell it to buy a glorified Jon boat to bass fish in northern Idaho. Stands to bring up another question. Will you be walking the boat down the ramp because you don’t have a truck? How’s that gonna look getting it back on the trailer? My connection to the Devine may be clouded sometimes in part due to Heineken, late nights and poor decisions, but I think I can sift thru this one… Keep your truck chief..
  8. Joni Mitchell is the all time best ever. Followed by Prince then Stevie Wonder. This isn’t up for debate.
  9. Ehhh, maybe not, but I do know a Curtis who sits on a 5 gallon bucket with a heater going, straw hat and a speaker who has a 100% kill rate of whatever animal that happens to tug the line. So all things considered…
  10. That ain’t B.
  11. That. You can answer almost every question with: A. Money B. Women C. All of the above
  12. Chippewa symbol for ‘man needs boat’
  13. No thanks! I fished out of a kayak once. You know what it reminded me of? Work. Get home tonight, put your feet up on the table, open a PBR and tell the ol lady your “either getting involved in the sale of schedule 1 narcotics, or waiting outside the casino for people who hit on the new dragon slot machine..either way, we’re winning babe..” It works
  14. And people say it’s harder with a full bass boat…it takes me about a minute and 23 seconds to back my Xpress off the trailer. Y’all can have that
  15. Hell if it works, stay with it. One thing I’ve learned about ‘spots’ is everytime I think I found the hidden gem, I learn someone has been fishing that spot since the Louisiana Purchase..
  16. Haha! I think I’ve stayed there before. Finally a place where I felt like the smartest SOB in the room!
  17. I’d start by zooming in..is that the shot from NASA?
  18. No idea about anything you bought but I’ve learned once at a certain level of consumption, turn off all electronic devices. Especially, most importantly, the cell phone. He’s a traitor after midnight…
  19. We use this type of thought when we’re going after striper (hybrids). If you can pick 2 or 3 off for whatever reason it gets more difficult to get anymore. We’ll mostly switch color or size of bait first before we switch species of bait.. In my experience they have to be really grouped up and seen it multiple times before they start laying off a bait if they’re eating. But then again, I don’t know much, and I still probably go down the bank throwing speed worms at hard objects instead of doing what I think would really work..
  20. I managed hotels for 5 years, ran into this at times. The Reg card guests sign should cover contractually what the hotel is obligated for. Make sure the front desk staff explicitly tells each guests as well where they can and can’t park. Parking tags/permits could be an idea as well. Secondly, make a business connect with the towing company where only you or your asst GM as the authority ti have a vehicle towed. This, and guests leaving their firearms out freely in their rooms and not using the safes we’re my biggest concerns
  21. Been there..made the ‘leap of faith’ and fell onto everything that hurts in a boat. I’m sure it was fun as hell to watch from the bank..
  22. “Joe Louis was 138 years old when they fought…138!”
