I have big hands so tying any braid less then 20 is difficult. Sounds funny but true. The casting distance with 20 on a 2500 size reel. Is pretty dang far. Unless you have a situation where you need super long casts with a spinning set up. It’s a non issue, really.

No I don’t, I have the eye crosser. I called falcon a couple of times before I bought it. The gentleman there said the bayou is much stiffer. He did say it would be a great frog rod. But the two rods are a little different. I believe the website says it’s the eye crosser that’s the shorter version of the amistad. anyone interested in either rod should give falcon a call. Then are fantastic to talk to. definitely not trying to argue. That’s just the impression I’m under after talking to them.

The bayou is not the same as the eye crosser It’s a bit heavier and stiffer.

I’ve caught lots of fish on the yum soft plastics. There about as cheap as I e seen.

I’m a bank fisherman my self. I’ve found rods around the 6’10” length seem to be a good compromise. Between getting good casting distance and walking the trail and pitching to shore line targets. Also if I was looking in the $200 range. I’d be looking at shimano zodius or falcon expert.

The currado 150 mgl is a sweet reel. Also if I’m not mistaken I think the slx line up of rods was recently revamped. I’m not positive though. If so I’m sure that would be a great combo for the price.

I’m pretty sure you could fit at least a 6’6” rod in that car. Try it with you two piece. With the but all the way down in the passenger seat like said above. You might be surprised what you can fit In there.

The fury 705 cb is a great spinnerbait rod.

I read where you said worms and jigs also. That’s awesome. Are you talking about 3/8’s 1/2 ounce jigs and t rigs. This sounds like one hell of a rod. Especially at that price.

I’m surprised. I really like the regular sized ones. I catch a lot of fish on them. I’m still gonna give the finesse ones a shot.

Zman came out with a finesse sling blade. Should be money for what your looking for. Can’t wait to get a few myself.
