  1. Dogbone where are you launching to fish Jacobs? The creek or the main launch? The creek by the bridge saves a lot of steps. ?
  2. The park must be closed down now isn't it? I'll have to go after this all quiets down.
  3. Is this at the park? Didn't know snook were in there. How big are the bass?
  4. Surprised Morton Park is still open!
  5. Waders open up a whole new world. Tons of places to fish with them. Fish will be moving in shallow, should be a good way to approach. ?
  6. That's a tough one. Fields Park in Brockton. Island Grove in Abington. Hobarts in Whitman. Burrage WMA in Hanson. Not a lot of shore fishing opportunities in the area.
  7. June is very hot, humid and in rainy season. September isn't much better. Your best month, weather wise and fishing wise would be February. Cooler, no humidity and the bass usually bite much better.
  8. Don't give up on it before you even start! Fish will be moving in shallow and that method could be quite productive! Give it a try you may be pleasantly surprised!
  9. Slow, slow, slow! Don't go any deeper than knee high until you get a feel of what the bottom is like. I have waded ponds with a solid gravel bottom that turned to quicksand mud as I waded along. Quite a shock! ?
  10. Yeah, alligators! ?
  11. Should have given Little a shot! I bet the trout would be willing to play!
  12. Couple of good ones! Got to make it over there one of these days!
  13. Hey, you gave it a shot! Nice to be able to get on open water in Feb.!
  14. Never had a problem in MA. E.P. didn't even ask to see a license! If I was out in the yak the first question would be, do you have your PFD? They weren't concerned about the lead. In other N.E. states I can see it being strictly enforced!
  15. Nice January outing! A record may be set for the warmest January of all time!
  16. Go through the posts. A lot of your questions will be answered. The spawn should be over by March. Air temp will be in the 80's, water temp should be around 80. Plenty of posted property. Talk to the locals about spots. And most importantly, if on foot, be aware of your surroundings! There are a lot of critters you need to watch out for. Especially the alligators!
  17. Just fish as you would normally do unless you are specifically targeting spawners. Which I hope you are not doing! lol Not all bass spawn at the same time and not all ponds/lakes are at the right temp. Just go out and fish! You will be here at the beginning of a cold front so conditions will probably be tough!
  18. It's not as easy as the fishing shows make it out to be! ?
  19. Just constantly be aware of your surroundings and you will be fine! I moved down from the north and it becomes second nature after awhile.
  20. Those "vicious" gators you speak of must be getting fed! The only aggressive gators I have encountered involved a mother with babies. I have found 90% of them want nothing to do with you!
  21. And don't forget the fire ants! ?
  22. He is warning YOU that HE is there! ?
