  1. Nice! Sounds like fun. Saw the pics.
  2. Good to see you got a few there. The place can grow on you. Should be prime time for the trout nextdoor also.
  3. The clock is ticking! Right place at the right time. Used to love the bog ponds right when the water from the harvest was being pumped back in. Was always easy pickings.
  4. You can park on the side of Rocky Pond Rd. and launch at the beach area to the right of the pump house . At least you used to be able to.
  5. Not being used to that weather you are going to be cold! You may even find yourself fishing in a squall or two. Those days are long over for me!
  6. I never cared for it either. When I was up from FL a couple of years ago I put some time on there. It kind of grows on you. This time of year it should be very good. Much easier to find them in shallow water.
  7. The landscape surrounding ponds/lakes has certainly changed down here in SWFL!
  8. Dogbone. BS has smallies! I never believed it until I actually caught one there. How they survive in such shallow, warm water is beyond me!
  9. Dogbone. Man I would love to be up there right now with waders! I would hit Little for a couple of hours and then walk over to Billington. Ever fish BS with waders? You can cover a lot of water. Very shallow unobstructed shoreline.
  10. Mike L Yeah I saw on the news that 50% of Charlotte County is still without power! I imagine that would be further west where the heaviest damage occurred. ?
  11. October can be epic if you hit it just right. You just have to get out there and hope you are in the right place at the right time. Cover water and look for baitfish activity.
  12. Got a notice from FPL that power in Charlotte County would not be restored before Friday 10/7 at the earliest. We packed up on Sunday and headed to Fort Lauderdale Beach. An hour after arriving I get an FPL notice that power has been restored! We were already there and could use a little getaway. It was all good. Arrived home yesterday and found that we actually had cable also! That was an unexpected bonus!
  13. I would think that the fall transition in that area would be in full swing about now.
  14. Those water temps are still a little high for the fall frenzy. A few consecutive nights in the 50's should get them going. It's coming! Wish I could be there for it! ?
  15. It is all about water temp.! It is still a little early for the fall feed. Once you get a few consecutive nights of temps in the 50's the fish know and will tell you! It's coming!

  17. Absolutely! https://www.mass.gov/orgs/division-of-fisheries-and-wildlife
  18. West Monponsett is always a mess. It has had an algae problem for years. It's amazing how different the water is at East. ?
  19. Pretty quiet on here. Dog days already? LoL
  20. That's a nice fish for ANY part of the country! I haven't broken 6lb in FL!
  21. Those are tilapia in close. Throw slow moving baits, worms, flukes, senkos, etc.
  22. Dug a little for this one! ?
  23. I always thought of April as one of the toughest months of the year. Too many cold fronts with bluebird sky and that stiff NNE wind.
  24. Sounds like nothing there has changed! Always been a tough place for whatever reason. I would have bailed and hit Little Pond for the trout!
