  1. Does not take long for the yahoos to show up! Dealing with jet ski's already. 🤬 Won't be long before we hear of the seasons first drowning because of stupidity. Usually a flipped canoe, at night and no pfd's! 🤔
  2. Not familiar with that area but in general people, county, towns, etc are protective of private property. I gave up on Google Maps. Saw something that looked promising only to arrive and find it posted, fenced or a wall of vegetation. Other than state, county, city or town parks fishing from the bank is tough. Also be aware of alligators when walking the bank. Very easy to be surprised!
  3. Several YEARS out? 🤣
  4. Before moving to FL I used to visit Maine either the week before or after the Columbus Day weekend. We left MA and would go up to Camden. The weather usually cooperated. The entire Maine coastline is great. Bar Harbor is not my favorite. It has become over developed and gets very crowded. The summer crowd leaves and the fall foliage crowd takes over! 😂
  5. Yeah, I am in FL. Same weather right now. It's all about the sun. Quite chilly on a cloudy day. 😎
  6. Appears that you had a nice outing. 😎
  7. If it were this easy, everybody would do it! https://www.outdoorlife.com/sponsored-content/florida-home-of-bass-legends/
  8. Those Ponkie pickerel are waiting for you! 😆
  9. Leaky waders in the winter! Can't say that I miss that being down here in FL. I did years of wading and never found waders that didn't develop leaks. I'm sure it is by design. lol I did find that Aquaseal works prettygood. At least you found some fish.
  10. Appears that you had a successful trip. This is no Candlewood! 😆

  12. Slow, slow, slow! Cold fronts have been relentless. As stated, they will not chase fast moving baits. Drag plastics. Good luck.
  13. At least you figured it out and salvaged the day. Cold fronts have been brutal down here.
  14. That's a lot of time to put in for one perch! You should hit the trout ponds and increase the odds of catching a few fish.
  15. It has been tough. Constant cold fronts have been passing through and the bass do not like them! Plenty of wind to go along with it. Maybe things will settle down when you get here. 🤔
  16. That water temp is just getting into the sweet spot. I always found mid - upper 50's wakes the fish up for a final push of heavy feeding. Once they drop into the 40's it slows down dramatically.
  17. Good advice right here. 😎
  18. Temp is supposed to approach 80! Get out there! Probably won’t see it again this year! 🤔
  19. We get "cold fronts" continuously all winter long so it is a crapshoot. Morning lows can sometimes get into the 40's and will shut them down. Most big fish are caught with shiners because that is what the guides use. If you are going on a charter they will want you to sling shiners because that is money for them. You can also get plenty of fish on artificials and have a big numbers day. Odds of catching a lunker though do go up using shiners.
  20. Fish should be in a fall pattern about now. Jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, rattle baits. T rigged flukes for the weedy areas and any surface activity you happen to see . This month offers an opportunity to hook into a monster!
  21. Well, this is it boys! This month offers a very good chance of hooking into a new pb. The bass know what's coming and will be feeding hard. Right place, right time, right bait. Get out as often as you can and hope you hit it just right. I always had my best days fishing shallow, bog type ponds as opposed to the deep sand bowls. ?
  22. That is a strange pattern on that LM. ?
  23. Don't be afraid to throw a rattle bait this time of year. ?
  24. Dogbone, that sounds like Wampatuck. Tough place. I caught one around 6 lb many years ago out of one of the smaller ponds in the park.
  25. Scroll through the posts. It's been covered a few times.
