Fishing Orlando Grande Vista
We have had relentless cold fronts. Water temps have dropped to below average for this time of the year. Shouldn't be enough to cause a fish kill though. I never see fish cruising the bank like I do up north so I cant' explain that. Are you from MA ? Totally different game down here.

Best bass lakes in NC?
You are from MA? No reason to leave. The best bass fishing of the season is about to begin. Right place, right time. Opportunity to catch a new PB.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Should be getting close. Get out as much as you can. Look for surface activity. Good to always have a fluke tied on. Once that water temp gets lower a rattle bait can be quite productive. Wish I was up there.

Colorado River and lake Havasu City summer time lures and bass
I assume the water temp is pretty high also. Unusual that they won't hit a worm. I'm in Fl with hot and humid conditions also. Bass are sluggish and don't really chase anything. Slow moving baits are usually the most productive. I do get tired of fishing a worm all the time though. π

I hear ya! I have been in FL the past 8 years. I will take south shore fishing hands down. The only downfall is the season is too short. I get to fish year round now.

New to Vero Beach.
Mr. Science teach. Yes it is a whole different animal down here. I'm from MA also. Even panfish behave differently and do not bite readily. I have been here 8 years and have only caught a half dozen crappie. The variety of fish willing to bite doesn't exist. The fishing is not what I thought it would be.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
That pond has some of the worst algae I have ever seen. the water will actually burn your skin and cause eye irritation. Nasty place! I have a sweatshirt that has bleach stains on it from getting splashed with that water. They used to post warnings at the launch. π€

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
There has to be big fish in Ames Nowell. Heavy vegetation has been an issue there for years. Took the yak out a couple of times and didn't do all that well. I have caught a couple in the 5-6 lb range fishing from shore. Tough place. Were you able to drive down to the water or did you have to wheel the yak down?

Any tips for Bethesda Park FMA Jacksonville, FL?
It is just a term that has been around for years referring to the weather being hot and dry for an extended period. The fish become lethargic making for a tough bite. If rainy season will kick in and get the water stirred up some, things should improve, hopefully.

Any tips for Bethesda Park FMA Jacksonville, FL?
What time of day are you out there? Early morning/evening is best right now. We are in the dog days with the record heat and lack of rain that we are having. The bite has been tough just about everywhere if there is no moving water. Slow moving baits work better under these conditions. Just keep at it or try a different pond and see what happens.

Everglades fishing trip 5/25/24
A very interesting place. This "rainy" season is starting out like last year. Could be big trouble if the rain doesn't kick in soon.

Bass fishing Miami help.
It is maddening that so many man made lakes were designed this way. When I first started fishing in Fl I couldn't figure out why I was getting snagged constantly.π Why they didn't take the time to slope the banks is beyond me. π€
