are they repainted versions of something already on the market?
  2. They are like every reel at that price point....hit or miss. I bought the $9 Walmart spinning combo 2 years ago to test it and got almost 2 years of white bass and perch off of it. Then I donated it to my church's kids' fishing pond, and it was in pieces after just a week.
  3. I don't use the latest and greatest. I use what I like, what I know works for me and what I enjoy using. And being in the fishing industry that is considered by some to be near borderline psychotic to not be throwing exactly what Van Dam or Wheeler was throwing last week.
  4. I loose all mine. Until some fishing product developer comes out with a tackle bag system that can keep all my stuff from jumping around and falling out I'm gonna stay with my cheap toe nail clippers. I did just aquire a large circa late 80's plano 4 tray tackle box. Gonna polish her up and see if she is any better than all the soft tackle storage out there.
  5. I heard that they are about to dump a lot of money into rebuilding Quantum.
  6. Haven't used them, but like the catchy name.
  7. Great post....whereabouts in Texas are ya?
  8. Just had this happen to me. Live bait proved it to be catfish, not bass as I had thought. Really good catfish by the way...made for a great dinner. But in the other instances where it was bass I was able to get them to bite something really really small. Like a 1/16oz roadrunner. Carp and gar can have fooled me also
  9. Of all the things that could have gone wrong with that guide you actually lucked out. Slide it back under the thread and add a bit of glue/epoxy.
  10. I just point and say I got it from that big turd right over there. But we might have different mushrooms down here than yall do.
  11. Its crazy to think that there are people who would get offended if you decide to use what they are successfully using. But I am sure there is, and I am sure they don't have many true friends.
  12. When I type in vintage fishing lures on Ebay....its the same stuff I was selling when I worked retail.
  13. The moment I read that I thought....this guys got to be from South Texas. Then I saw you are in Mexico and it made even more sense!
  14. Thats awesome. "Winningest" is not a word I see to often.
  15. I like to use a medium rod and loosen my drag a little when I am bass fishing where a lot of other people are also fishing. Like the attention a 2lb'er can bring.
  16. There is much truth to that
  17. It is sad. But just the other day I met someone who falls for this temu/ali stuff head over heels. I don't think they even bothered to proof their webpage. Seems super shady the more I clicked on.
  18. Holy crap that is a great idea. I always have one of those on me and I have never throught about that during many failed recovery efforts. Thanks!!
  19. Don't think that your gopro will be able to transmit live footage from under water to your phone? Good Luck and let us know what the end result was.
  20. You could have told me you paid $208 for just a chicken sandwich and I would have believed you. Prices are insane these days

Doesn't Yo Zuri stamp all their baits?

hmmm.....now you got me considering some of these for my 10 year investment portfolio

With those your not really paying for a lure....your paying for a piece of art. Most of those get instantly shadow boxed and displayed.
  24. Seems like decoying your marker buoys might potentially cause an innocent angler just cruising by with some unfortunate prop trouble out on the water?
