  1. Wow that is a beautiful reel. I am still not at a point where I cant see myself being worthy of a reel of that magnitude until I learn to be better with my gear. I said that with my new ABU and I scratched it pretty bad last month setting it down upside down on some rocks.
  2. Our lunch on the boat is whatever the closest quickie mart to the boat ramp has. And by the time we get around to eating it you can see through the paper bag. I probably need to look into one of these Stanley food bowls though as I am looking to attempt to be a healthier person.
  3. Yes...so so very much so. 😪
  4. I just bought one on Ebay.....just because of this thread. I gotta stop doing that.
  5. Creme has a version of this that I used as a kid and still use. Great lure
  6. I have the same story as everyone else. Caught a bass on a shiner and released him in clear water...watched him swim straight to my other shiner that was out there and take it. Have this happen quite often with catfish.
  7. Our factory uses brass stencils that clamp around the lures with skillet tongs. Each stencil is a very small shape or pattern and sometimes it can be up to 10 stencils for 1 lure pattern. If very intricate its pad printed.
  8. Yes all the time. They all work just as good today as the day they were initially released. The only thing they stopped catching was fisherman. Yesterday I was tossing a Heddon Sonic.
  9. I agree. Its H20X now.
  10. Very popular down here in Texas. Can be picked up at most mom and pop shops. They have one called the LeLe I believe. Most popular model. I have one on the wall.
  11. I'm gonna throw my hat in for the plastic worm. All of its shapes and sizes.
  12. MAN replied to Mobasser's topic in Fishing Tackle
I find it amazing when I go visit small towns throughout the country that Walmart is really the only alternative for most folks for groceries, household items, tackle etc.. and its a norm for ALL town folk to say they are going to Walmart. Where I live...there are too many alternatives and its almost always a last resort type situation to visit one and have to deal with the riff-raff. But to answer the question....when I visit as a last resort I stop by the tackle section.
  13. Here is what the interior looks like. I am actually surprised that they did not use an injection foam. If you had water in it....you would hear it sloshing back and forth in the void.
  14. I would try to weigh your boat and then look up the original weight of the boat and see how much you actually stand to gain by tearing it apart and attempting to re-foam the water logged foam. I can't imagine you would be able to circulate enough hot air inside the hull and get good evaporation to make a difference. (in all honesty, I wouldn't bother with it). The handles are designed to lift the boat as well as tug it in and out of the bed of your truck. Name: We all call them Bass Raiders down here no matter the brand. Kinda like "Ziploc" where one name catches on and you use that name for all of them.
  15. The only non-big box store left in Houston for tackle is "Fishing Tackle Unlimited". There are 2 locations. Otherwise you will need to go just outside of Houston to the surrounding areas to find the mom and pops.....like Anglers Anonymous in Katy,Tx. Welcome to Texas!
  16. Their Angler series of rods are fiberglass blanks. Nothing wrong with them at all. I use them as throw around truck bed rods. But I would give their Premier rods a try. They are IM6 graphite blanks and are a lot more sensitive and less parabolic than the anlger series.
  17. ahhh man ....another one I need to add to my collection. Cue up the ebay.
  18. I used to tell all. But now I drive by on way home and wave every day to a guy that I shared my crappie hole with. Everyday...him, a cooler and a bucket of minnows. Was a great spot for many years that I take my little kiddo's too and always guaranteed some big crappie and nice photo's. Haven't caught any there lately. Have always been pretty open to helping others out. Always hear the dreaded stories of this happening to others, But I finally have experienced it first hand. And I would be lying if I say it doesn't sting a little.
  19. I have no issues with braid through mine. Heard they are bringing back the "ugly" Ugly Stik. Always thought that was a ill-thought out decision to revamp that series.
  20. Awesome new rod series! Great job Mojo!
  21. Talk about bad luck...to trip and fall right when the artist was drawing the cover image.
  22. Have you tried any of their rods or reels?
  23. Think they moved everything to Costa Rica. GSM will now probably be the largest soft plastic manufactures in the U.S.
  24. I have these 2 at my desk.....by chance is it one of them?
  25. Soft plastic - Zoom....until they ban non-biodegradable soft plastics and then I will switch if they don't evolve Hardbaits - Rebel. Maybe one day I will get to visit the Whitwolf Rebel museum
