Like captain phil said above I have also learned that everything I truly need will fit into something the size of a shoebox. Basically, that shoebox for me is just 1 of several small soft sided tackle boxes I have lying around like this one.

I can't imagine a bass sitting there and studying a bait for appendage count before considering striking, but I can imagine many bass fisherman overthinking it.

Well if the bird thing is a myth I feel like an idiot because I have been telling people that all my life. Down here in Texas, we have egrets and herons walking the shorelines hopping from waterbody to waterbody all day. I didn't think it was to far-fetched for them to get eggs stuck to their feet and transferred in a quick hop. That coupled with the fact we have tilapia everywhere now even in farm ponds not connected to a water source thought solidified the theory. Sure would like to know the truth.

If the factory uses a basic Chinese mailing service then yes, it will snail mail itself over here. That's how they are able to still make a profit on selling/sending just 1 item overseas, because this service just cost them about $7/rod so they still come out ahead. I was actually going to set up one of my factories to delivery personalized fishing rods on a order by order basis using this mail service....but later decided against it.

Learned the origin today of the lure. My friend was at Ray Murski's place placing a large order for some Strike King lures and saw this one sitting on the shelf. Ray said ..what are you staring at? My friend said that lure right there on that shelf. Ray told him walk over there and get that ugly @ss lure...its yours. He had brought it back home and put it in a box and forgot about it. Stumbled across it last week cleaning out his garage. Nice to have a little background behind some of the vintage stuff.
