  1. If I catch a white bass it goes home with me. Tonight we're eating Alabama bass, I kept one this morning.
  2. I used BassPro Excell for many years with good results on both baitcasting and spinning reels.

Too bad those weren't prespawn fish, they would have weighed twice as much. You done good.
  4. Docks where I live are a major goose magnet.
  5. The Aquaview under water camera has a temperature probe on the camera.
  6. I used to say to my wife, when I got back from trail riding, well I cheated death again. You salvaged the day very well, congratulations. I've been upside down in my kayak several times and sometimes it's a struggle to get everything gathered up, empty the water and get back to fishing.
  7. I'd like to know also. I have a couple of older Shimanos with plastic inserts for making the spools V shaped.
  8. I haven't been in it but my friend has an Allison with a 300. He says it's a 100 mph boat.
  9. Buy an 8 or 10 amp automatic charger and charge your trolling motor battery when you get finished using the boat for the day. The speed your trolling motor pushes/pulls the boat is a good indication of it's charge and also how long it lasts during the fishing day.
  10. You are right. I fish a Texas rigged finesse worm a lot and move the boat really slowly. If I'm with someone that is fishing a moving bait and moving the boat constantly I'll also fish with a moving bait.
  11. I used to catch bluegill with my flyrod and use them for stripers. Hooked through the nose was the way I hooked them.
  12. While fishing a pond with my buddy he caught a huge bass and I lipped it for him. A couple of years later he caught what we think was the same fish only now it was larger. It was in the same place in the pond. Way over 10. I could put both fists in her mouth.
  13. I've been using an older Quantum Accucast 7:1. Long casting and the drag locks down but it's heavy.
  14. When you're drifting downstream watch out that you don't drift into a hornets nest. I've done it twice. Last week was the last time I've had a professional override.
  15. I built a 5 1/2' rod to fish small rivers in a kayak with bushes on both sides.
  16. If you go to a rod builder tell them not to put their decal on your rod. I don't put any decals on the rods I build.
  17. Barefoot until it gets too hot on the trolling motor pedal, then sandals. Choco wading shoes in the kayak.
  18. I wear a fly vest and with the stuff I bring it's all I need.

  20. IMO besides the expendables, glue, tape, razor blades, the thing you most need is a dryer. You can use a box for wrapping and a book or 3 for thread tension.
  21. While I haven't tried the tubing I take a piece of masking tape and cut a thin strip, 1/16th to 1/8", to attach the guides.
  22. Darth, A big one is 12" if it's pure. There are a lot of hybrids where we were fishing but the one shown, maybe, is the purest. There are several long videos by Shoal Bandit that have all the black bass species listed.
  23. If the hook is left with a salt infused bait it'll rust. I lose them before they can rust that's why I don't buy expensive hooks.
  24. I buy 40 packs of worms each year, all the same style and color and usually use them all.
  25. Bought 6 packs of hooks @ walmart. The Brent Chapman worm hooks are made by Eagle Claw and come in 15 packs for less than $4.
