  1. My lakes never froze this year ive been bass fishing since January. Here in N.E Ohio boat traffic is ridiculous if theirs open water. Heading out to shoot some guns today and might go muskie fish tomorrow. I watch all my recorded fishing shows at night
  2. After a few minutes research online it looks like that boat has a 22 gal livewell. It's probably fairly deep which makes it seem smaller than what it is. As with any decked boat the only way to have a bigger livewell is going to be with some pretty major work. If your not afraid to cut into your boat then get to cutting. If I was you I would fill up 5 gallon buckets and dump them in till it's full to be sure of the capacity. My boat has a small livewell at 15 gallons but it will safely hold a fairly substantial sized limit of bass for a tournament. Of course more room would be better but between vents in the lid and running the live well every few minutes they stay alive and well
  3. Strike king makes a spinner bait and buzzbait exclusively for dicks called banshee. These spinnerbaits kill for me and they're only like 4 bucks
  4. All my friends are friends because we hunt and or fish together. Just over the past few years I made one of what I would consider my better friends because we both share the same drive when it comes to fishing. It's hard to find someone that will fish come hell or high water
  5. To say that happens on all boats is unacceptable. That should be sold to you at a blemished price or exchanged for a new boat
  6. That would be getting returned asap
  7. Learn to fish a few different techniques and become confident in all of them. For me I could cut way back on amount of tackle I own. Although I can catch fish on anything in my boat I only fish two different color jigs and two different trailers. A few different spinnerbaits and buzzbaits then the same old crankbaits worms and jerkbaits flukes and topwaters. I could put everything I need to be in the money at any tournament I fish in maybe 3 Plano boxes and be in a way better position than with the amount of tackle I keep my boat filled with
  8. I'm different from alot of guys. Id much prefer her to stay home. You have to live with each other you need to do things away from each other. Hell theirs only 3 people I fish with that aren't my son. I'm one of those people that enjoy spending time alone more than with other people. Especialy on the water. I fish better by myself and can be alot more focused.
  9. Just bought an ARK lancer pro for punching. $99 rod I like it better than my rods over $150 haven't had it on water yet but messing in the yard with it with my eyes closed I could feel it hit everything on the way back in . Now I do have it paired with a curado k which is close to $200 itself but i also own a pile of the $99 Lew's speed spools with no issues and years of abuse. I also know guys that fish the $99 13 fishing rods and love them as well
  10. I have a hard time paying more than a few dollars for a jig. My best jigs cost less than $2 each. Doesn't hurt as bad when you break off. I fish a jig 12 months out of the year and I'll be damned if I'm paying that kind of money for one
  11. I will sometimes throw small cranks or really light cranks on my Fenwick elite tech walleye rod it's 6'6 med fast and it does very well for small square bills and shad raps

Megabass magdraft it's like 12.99 I've never been a big fan of swimbaits but recently started dabbling in them. I have been very very pleased with the results even in cold water. We consider cold water under 40 here in N.E Ohio
  13. Your reels are for all intended purposes the same speeds. Within a few IPT of each other. You need to put the reels on different rods to see how they feel. I had a curado k on a tatula 7'3 MHF and hated it . Put that reel on my ARK punching rod and and a Lew's speed spool on my daiwa rod and made a world of difference
  14. Buzzbaits will give up the ghost on where a giant is hiding. Also big worms fished on weed edges and even punched instead of using creature baits which the bass see 100000000 of them. Call me crazy but once that water hits 55 I will also start throwing frogs and getting some ridiculously big fish to eat them. This is in N.E Ohio
  15. I always remove spool and just tie Palomar knot. Do not tie it to the holes in the spool. Been doing it this way for 20 years on casting and spinning reels with no issues
  16. I catch multiple 5 pound fish every year in Ohio. Portage gives up 7s every year. AEP has 9 #+ bass documented
  17. Buy a big Jon boat with a front deck and wide open floor. Something like a lower roughneck would be a good choice
  18. Always wrap your line around the rod after hooking up your bait. It prevents lures or weights slapping around or sliding down and busting things up
  19. Jerking off. Out favorite dock talk term around others. Makes them not follow us around... Most of the time Getting jiggy. Worm heading. Etc .... Few of us know exactly what we are truly talking about we mostly just get goofy ass looks from others
  20. Do you already own this boat or are you just looking at the boat.
  21. My old.man had one of them. But with a 75 I believe. It would push the boat 40ish if I remember correctly. With that 50 you should run low 30s I would guess. Very good riding boat with lots of room inside
  22. Have a couple buddies with pelican the catch. One has the 12 and one has the 10 footer. They both love them lightweight and stable. Slow though. I fly past them in my wilderness systems with ease
  23. Have you ever caught a fish?
  24. Hubbs chub 2 1/2 inch
  25. I watched the video against my better judgement. You could tell the cops had no clue what they were talking about. If I had to guess, some one seen him taking big bluegills from a public body of water and knew where he was going to put them. They got butt hurt then called and made a complaint against him. Now back on topic
