  1. I take my flat bottom to any freshwater I want to fish. The rougher it is the slower I travel. I'm sure the mod-v helps but in a small aluminum it still gonna be rough on plane. They're light and sit on the water instead of cutting thru the water like a heavier boat.
  2. I ran a MK PD 40 lb thrust for 12 years on my Lowe 1448 while bowfishing 2 to 4 nights a week, year round for 4 to 8 hours per trip not mention regular fishing. That's a pile of constant trolling and the only problem I had was the foot control failed and the replacement failed. Installed a copilot and it was great.
  3. 80% with Zoom Horny Toads on a Owner 4/0 Beast hook with screw lock, 8.1 reel, 7' heavy rod, and 50 lb braid
  4. In Ga. if you don't also have a conventional vest on board you must have your inflatable on at all times.
  5. Such a Tease.
  6. I cast a very nice light spinning rig about 15 yards a few years ago. I was throwing a big swimbait and hooked it on the back swing. Dove for 30 minutes in 18 - 20 FOW to no avail. Ordered a new one when got home.
  7. BRING IT ON GLENN!
  8. Blanked 47 days while only throwing big swimbaits. I typically catch at least a couple (may be dinks) on conventional lures on my regular bodies of water.
  9. I don't think that auto only exist. I wear a Mustang Survival HIT auto which has 35 lb of buoyancy and a manual deploy pull cord. It's comfortable to fish in.
  10. Browning. 10+ years of use and no rust.
  11. I have scars on my soul from multiple big girls that I've had throw a big swimbait. Several right at the side of the boat with the rod in one hand and net in the other. Getting a good look at a great fish just cuts a bit deeper. I gotta stop I'm getting emotional. ?
  12. Unless that Trophy is slinging a large & heavy swimbait around.
  13. ^^^^ Me too. But I do retie my big swimbait knots every 2 hours of casting and after every fish.
  14. Mercury 75 hp Command Thrust?
  15. Both. ? I own three different sized jon boats for ponds - 1232, rivers/creeks -1436, and lakes -1448.
  16. No on the troll or stroll. I fish the Bruiser Baits Da Big Nasty Worm 14.25".
  17. I got you beat on one cast.?
  18. Tom, prayers sent to you and your family. Thanks for sharing sir.
  19. Buddy caught this one yesterday on a Mister Twister Mag 12 worm , 3/16 Tungsten bullet weight, and 7/0 Gamakatsu offset round bend hook. 17' deep weed line in 90 degree water.
  20. My Lowe 1448 isn't a ride for girly men in 1' to 3' waves but she's very stable while fishing. The square bow makes launching and loading much easier, trailer to boat/boat to trailer.
  21. Open water - Whopper Plopper - less missed fish. Cover and tight areas - Buzzbait - less fouled cast. Surface grass - Homemade Teckel Frog (bonus answer) ?.
  22. 80 lb Power Pro on a Revo Toro Beast 60 wins the crossed line Tug of War pretty much every time. One thing I've tried to figure out is why my boat gets hung in five or six hard right hand turns at full throttle before I can leave an area when somebody's crowded me. It's really embarrassing. ?
  23. I remove the plastic and condition the cork with hand sweat & oil. If I clean them I won't know where to hold them.?
