Wind.
If they're biting I'll fish. I've fished in 35+ mph winds since I added the spot locking Terrova. Casting does get interesting above 25 mph and a good bilge pump is a must for the occasional rogue wave.

Towing - Graphs on or off?
My Solix 15 has been mounted on my 14' flat bottom aluminum for over a year on a Kong mount. I'll only remove it when it'll be out of my sight. I figure if it survives riding on the flat bottom boat in chop, it'll have no problem on the trailer.

OUCH! (Reminder for Kayakers/Boaters
Always carry my compound cutters. I've witnessed fishermen go through the pain of pushing the hook through only to have regular cutters fail.

I wear Costas no line bifocals. They're expensive but work great.

Fishing Seat Vs Butt Seat
Spinal fusion several years ago changed everything for me. If somebody else is in the boat or its rough I must use my butt seat. It allows me to use my whole body to compensate for the boats movement. If fishing alone and it's calm I can use my sit down seat. The sit down seat forces me to stabilize my upper body from my lower back which is bad news quick and fast if it's rough. I can't stand to long without fatiguing and then the pain follows shortly. I can lean for as long as I want. Hope that helps.

Aluminum Angle Issues
I used 2" angle on my deck and have had well over 900 lbs on man meat on it for 5-8 hour bowfishing trips for years. Only myself nowadays fishing and it's solid.

Catching big bass is extremely hard?
Very nice.

Finally finished the reels
I limit myself to cleaning/servicing 3 reels a day. I have 50+ reels and 3 reels worth of my ultrasonic cleaner running on the kitchen counter is about all my wife can stand. Doesn't bother me at all cause I'm listening music with my ear buds.? My eyes ain't what they used to be either.

Help with designated jerkbait rod! Will he used for 99.9% jerkbaits
I fish jerkbaits on a Quantum KVD 7' medium fast BC rod that's at least 15 years old. It works great so I can't see changing.

Go fishing with Mark Zona!
Thanks. Entered. I'm not really supposed to leave the state. But fishing with Zona for 6 more years in prison. I think I can get away with it as long as they don't film me.?

How far do you go?
My driveway to Tobesofkee(recreational) lake ramp is 4 minutes but 9 out of 10 times I'll drive 30 minutes to Juliette(fishing) lake.

How far do you go?
I could hear my wife now. Why are you taking tackle with you to go to the doctor, veterinarian, grocery store etc. If I lived on an island I'd always be late getting home. Might be a quicker trip if you take your Lund from Maryland down the coast. With all that storage you could do it.???????

Any Crankbait Lovers Still Out There?
I try to love them. I have four 3700's full of shallow, medium, deep, and extra deep crankbaits. I have 3 dedicated cranking combos. I still catch more bass on swimbaits.

Lubing brand new reels
I drop all new reel spool bearings in my ultrasonic cleaner and then it gets a tiny drop of oil. I had to prove to a friend it does indeed make a difference. We both bought a Curado 200k, spooled both with the same 14 lb fluorocarbon line, and mounted the on the same 7' MH rod. At the lake I was consistently casting 10- 20' father than him. We swapped combos and he cast father than me. I've also noticed using less and lighter/thinner oils I can cast lighter lures with less problems.

Is this enough trolling motor?
I upgraded from a 40 lb to a 80 lb on my 14 x 48 jon. The days of the wind forcing me to hide in a cove or leave are done. Having it and not needing it is better than needing it and not having it.
