Visited my friends pond/nursery in the cold misting rain and caught 15 micros in 2 hours. Caught them all on weightless Zoom finesse worms drug very slowly.

There's been a pile of big fish caught on Huddlestons & Deps 250s in waters around the country that contain zero trout. Of course you could stick with Bluegill profiles. If there's not alot folks throwing bigger baits, it could be spectacular fishing by showing the unusual.

Bought two Daiwa 100 TW reels and one had bone dry bearings. I'd say your odds are 50/50 that it'll be fine, but I'd oil the bearings. A couple minutes and a couple drops of oil will prevent and poor casting screaming reel.

Catch another DD. Gonna give the Spots a break and focus on LM with swimbaits and jigs.

Picked a pair of Aldebaran BFS and paired them with a couple Dobyns Ultra Finesse rods, September last year. They've been alot of fun and I feel much more in touch with my lure vs spinning. I figured if I enjoyed them, I'd upgrade the rods later, but I see no need as they work just fine for my needs. I say try atleast one BFS. But the downsizing of gear doesn’t make any sense to me.😁
