On a Loomis, the Aldebaran or Aldebaran BFS The Aldebaran will cast that weight easily but the BFS is just lovely to run.

I use a small bucket of sand to train my extensor muscles. MassBass is correct as it definitely makes a difference.

You're right. The 1/0 EWG Gamakatsu is a perfect match. I've caught some nice bass on the Baby Shad when they're targeting tiny baitfish.

A 4.5 - 6" curly tail worm with a 3/16 bullet weight T - Rigged would be a fine starting point. A weightless Wacky for a beginner is gonna deep hook alot of fish. IMHO
