  1. When I buy instead of make spinnerbaits the brand is War Eagle.
  2. Sounds like a good way to die just like a couple of guys did here a few years ago.
  3. Not to mention the price difference. The last 5000 hooks that I have bought are EC.
  4. Charlie Brewer’s sliders. They are good for lmb, smb, spots, eyes, and whites. They are super when fished on windy days.
  5. I have switched from Mustad to Eagle since Mustad’s quality took a nose dive.
  6. Barlows Tackle might have something that would work for you.
  7. There is another major forum site with all kinds of lithium battery information. The filters won’t let me identify it.
  8. I don’t but my son-in-law does and my best friend did everything with a spinning setup.
  9. I can’t speak to the wiring but on the batteries you need batteries of the same age for the trolling motor. You system is only as good as your weakest battery.
  10. I guess my Curado E7 is sub par for that operation.
  11. Wow mine won’t. What reel and line are you using, maybe I need to change.
  12. I don’t have that particular rod but do have some Gloomis IMX and IMX PRO 843c rods which can handle the baits listed.
  13. Gloomis IMX 843c. They are out in the cold garage. I’m not going out to check them right now.
  14. I use spinner baits most every trip except cold winter. I don’t throw any spinner baits besides 1/2 oz. I always use mh rods. I don’t like the way my h rods feel with spinner baits. If you have a Walmart near, go buy a bait or two in each size and see what you like.
  15. I have both. I like the smaller one better. I hold it with my thumb and index finger. The T shape I have to use thumb and two fingers.
  16. It is similar to the whiz jig.
  17. Swimbait that wasn’t on a bladed jig or Arig.
  18. I have bought at least a dozen setups for my wife and son-in-law just to keep them from wanting to use mine.
  19. We categorize sticks by level around here, ranging from good to poor.
  20. Some of my reels have fluorocarbon that is over a year old. I have boxes that have been in my bait cabinet for years. It’s all good. I even have a spool of mono that is over 5 years old and still good.
  21. The bubble gum worm is pretty good most years.
  22. Have you considered advantech for the top?
  23. I have somewhere around two dozen Shimano spinning reels. I maintain my own reels. I take excess grease off with Qtips and paper towels.
  24. Personally whether it has any effect on population or not I would like to see tournaments limited to non spawning times. I would also like to make sight fishing illegal.
  25. I have a swim twitch method that I use with my homemade buck tail jigs. It is especially productive at night in the spring in shallow water. Several colors work but the absolute best is purple and orange. 1/16 oz is too light and 1/8 oz is too heavy. So I carefully drilled out a mold until I got the size that works best. It weighs in at 30 grains on my powder scales. These baits produce largemouth, spots, smallmouth, whites and walleye all in a single night. I don’t know of anyone else who fishes this way and I am sure no one else has the same baits. So far no giant fish but largemouth to 6.5 #, smallmouth to 4# and walleye to 8#.
