  1. I use 6# on several setups. I haven’t used any heavier Yozuri. I’m getting ready to order some more and thinking about 10 or 12#. Is that supple enough to use on a 2500 Stradic?
  2. I have used lacquer thinner to remove old contact cement on some of my recarpeting.
  3. I don’t. I like to be where I can cover the shallow to 20+ feet with one cast.
  4. This has worked well for me and doesn’t have the fumes as some others do.
  5. It didn’t work today.
  6. Pre spawn fronts are the only ones that get my attention. The rest of the time wind speed and direction are where I focus.
  7. Personally I would hose it off before I put it up.
  8. There are lots of ways to fish a Ned besides the two you mentioned. Watch Ned Kehde’s video where he spells it out for you. I fish Ned rigs practically every trip. I can’t remember the last time I fished a single tailed grub.
  9. I actually prefer to use a good spinning setup instead of casting if I am in open water. It allows a better free fall than casting. If I am jigging around timber I like casting better.
  10. In my opinion the best side imaging is Hummingbird.
  11. I use it both was depending on the bottom around me. If it is open water I cast out, let it fall, sweep it off the bottom, let it fall, repeat.
  12. Today they chased shaky and Ned. I threw a jig and they bit.
  13. Today it was dragging it to rocks, getting hung then snapping it up and letting it slide back down. My version of the Jewell Pee Wee bass whacker 3/16 oz with a Yamamoto gp/red twin tail grub.
  14. If you pay close attention you can hear the difference between feeding fish and others like carp, gar and other undesirables. I can’t always do it but lots of times I can and don’t bother to turn around.
  15. Be sure to trim the motor down to keep rain water from getting into the housing freezing and busting it. Or cover it good to keep water out.
  16. BPS has already thrown our guys in with everyone else in the National Fishing Hall of Fame in the Museum at the main store in Springfield MO.
  17. Why would you want to take it off the hook in the first place? I’m sure that I have at least 1/2 dozen Elaztech baits rigged on setups in the boat right now ready for duty on Friday.
  18. It depends on what they will do for that $100. The minimum is change the lower unit fluid as well as the washers behind the screws. Some fog the engine. Where I live we fish year round so mine doesn’t have to be winterized. I used to do my own service work until I bought a 4 stroke. No I hire it done. How will the motor be stored?
  19. I use an image size app. I choose 640x640 for this site.
  20. Here is my version of a parasite clip. I use 20 ga galvanized steel wire. The bait stays in place when you set the hook.
  21. That’s one technique that has never worked for me. I have tried it on several different lakes in different seasons. I have completed quit trying it.
  22. Check on the legality of it before you do it.
  23. Parasite clips work great. If you want to you can make your own. It’s pretty easy to do.
  24. This is a pic from the guy who says he invented the puff ball jig. He says he is making a step by step video of his process. If he does I will let you know.
  25. You don’t have to wait for winter to use living rubber jigs. BTW.. nice looking jig.
