  1. Mine is under the carpet. If you pad your deck you could probably have flush mount without the router.

I fish highland reservoirs with lots of rocks and wood. I fish Ned and shaky a lot. I carry several different weights of heads and use the lightest one possible for the situation which lessens hangups. I also rig them as weedless as possible.
  3. I use only one knot for all lines it is called a Pitzen.

I didn’t start until my mid thirties. I lived 2 miles from the club and practiced or played every day from the time I got off work until dark. I was totally obsessed with it until I had to have knee surgery which put an end to it. I never got real good before I had to give it up but I was lucky enough to make a hole in one three times. It sure was a lot cheaper than fishing.
  5. My trolling motor just stopped the other day crossing a cove. It turned out to be the circuit breaker. I put in a heavier one and have had no more trouble.

I make my own and use a variety of hooks, Gamakatsu, Mustad, VMC, Victory, and Eagle Claw. All of them work for me. I have noted that Mustad has gone down some in quality and Eagle Claw has greatly improved lately.
  7. I use my H rods for A rigs and heavy C rigs. MH for lots of stuff.
  8. Too many ways to enumerate here. I will give you one example: Set the unit on side scan and record. Drive slowly down an area recording. Move out to a good location and play the recording. As good looking cover shows up mark with waypoints. Then pull up the mapping and go fish the waypoints.
  9. Jig trailer, Trig and Crig are how I use them.
  10. The little hole in the wall C store where I get boat gas has 4 isles, 1 for snacks and 3 for booze as well a coolers at the end of the isles and a wall of cold alcholic drinks. The whole wall behind the cash register is devoted to tobacco. Right smack dab in red neck country.
  11. A respitator is not a bad idea for your age but that is not all you need. Do you have the necessary stuff to make plastics?
  12. I don’t know of anything like you want. Why do you want to pull the seat and drop it to the deck?
  13. Amazon, Ebay, Bass Pro Catalog Outlet, the reel manufacturer
  14. With that size motor it will move you from one place to another but with 3 people I doubt you can get it to plane.
  15. Hydrochloric acid (toilet bowl cleaner) will do it. Don’t do it in the sun.
  16. You can also fish from anywhere in the boat with the Ulterra. When by myself I like to fish from the back and control the boat with the micro remote. My back forced me to get one a few years ago I love it.
  17. I have a lot of different jig molds. Over the years I have settled on three types and use them. They are football head, the Midwest Finesse head and the Troker swim jig. I make them in a variety of weights 1/16 to 1/2 oz and hook sizes from #2 to 4/0.
  18. I also think the spot lock is great on my Ulterra. The jog feature really makes it versatile. All I have to say is I am sorry for those of you who don’t have it.
  19. Knot size isn’t my concern, breaking at the knot is.
  20. On spinning setups I use 15# hi vis yellow braid 8 and 10# fluorocarbon leader 10’ long always tie with the fg knot because it is the only one that hasn’t failed.
  21. It’s time to pull out the neck fan. Mine is going next trip. https://www.walmart.com/ip/JISULIFE-Portable-Neck-Fan-Upgraded-Necksupport-Personal-Hands-Free-5-Speed-Gears-Adjustment-4000-mAh-Wearable-Bladeless-Fan-Quiet-Rechargeable-Gifts/5800252573?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=101113962&selectedOfferId=D8A81BF7DF03318BA6B33D77322D8749&conditionGroupCode=1&gclsrc=aw.ds&&adid=222222222275800252573_101113962_164412590786_21456822644&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=t&wl3=705938112670&wl4=pla-2327326628061&wl5=1020569&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=522737145&wl11=online&wl12=5800252573_101113962&veh=sem&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21456822644&gbraid=0AAAAADmfBIpKCxSayzwHDMeeGwOpnvSgU&gclid=Cj0KCQjwsNnCBhDRARIsAEzia4AV3D3ullpTOF3bDkGJFMnjZO_hwzq3habeDO4m11o7UflQc5rEZigaAjgeEALw_wcB
  22. In smallmouth county I start with Ned rigs (new money trds with 3/16 head has been best). Second is jigs (Pee Wee jigs in 5/16 oz has been the best size and First Down the best color). Third is shaky head which has not been good yet.
  23. I have some 150 DC Curados they work for 1/4 oz and heavier. I have been trying some of my Curado 70s for light weight finesse with limited success. I bought a Curado bfs and though 8# is the heaviest line recommended I have 10# fluorocarbon on it and it is handling the Ned rig just inne with long casts.
  24. That Yammy is a good motor. My wife had one on her boat. BTW: Don’t forget to check the lower unit for water in the oil.
  25. I use 10#, 12# and 15# fluorocarbon on my bait casters. I would use it on spinning setups if it would work. Some of my specialty casting rods have super small eyes and even an fg knot won’t work.
