Tube Molds Inquiry
Congratulations on thinking about taking the plunge into plastic bait making. It is a whole different world than what you may be used to. I’ve been doing it for a long time and like PourMyOwn will be glad to try to answer any questions you may have. I assume that you have no experience with this hobby. If not then I suggest that you find out what you need besides a mold. If you move forward with it check out what molds are available and the prices. I have 4 tube molds that I haven’t used in a while. I might part with them if you are serious.

Remove prop to enter reservoir
I’d pull the prop and put it in a box with the nut and washers until I put it back on.

Your Love/Hate Relationship with the Wind
It can be my friend or my nemesis depending on what baits I am using. With spinner baits, swimming baits and crank baits. It is my friend. With light Ned rigs, jigs, and shaky it becomes my nemesis. Spot lock isn’t very helpful when the wind won’t let the baits go down in the target zone.

Tacklemax Fugitive are good and twice as tough as Keitech.

Is flourocarbon worth the headache?
I use it on most of my bait casting setups, except for top water.

Unsure of what tackle storage option to go with for the bank
When I bank fished I carried my stuff in a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. I could even use it as a chair if I wanted to.

Graph Question
When you mark wpts from a stern unit then look for it at the bow there will be several feet difference os you might have to search for it.

Favorite Lures
I used to. Elaztech baits destroy regular pvc boxes, Flambeau not so much.

Favorite Lures
Smallmouth on Stockton Lake almost always go after one if not all of them. I fish 4 different weights of jigs, 7 different weights of Shaky and 5 of Ned depending on fish depth and wind. I also have dozens of color choices from which to choose. Here are a few of my Shaky and Ned colors.

Daiichi Seiko Knot Assist Tool 2.0
I’ve had one for quite a while. I really like it. Once I got comfortable with it the fg knot is all that I use because it is the only leader to braid knot that hasn’t failed for me. One of my fishing buddies uses the Alberto and has break offs at the knot nearly every trip. I have made a kit with everything I need and keep it handy so I can replace any leader that needs it when I get home.

how would you rank the three common bass as tablefare?
I have eaten all three. Though I rarely eat them I like spots the best. I quit eating smallmouth when I learned that it takes 10 years for them to reach the legal length in my favorite lake. Our largemouth smell like frogs so I don’t eat them.

Living rubber skirt storage
I’ve had that issue but it took several years for the rubber to go bad.

How’s everyone doing in the Midwest??
I don’t have any ponds to fish. The smallest place I can go is 17,000 acres so wind can be a thing.

How’s everyone doing in the Midwest??
Here in SWMO it has been very windy 25-50 mop gusts some days and we had heavy rain last week. The water that I fish is muddy and surface temp runs around 55°. Bites are few and far between.

Jig mold help
What type of lead are you getting at work? Pouring lead is different from pouring plastics. Don’t eat or smoke when you are pouring lead. Wash your hands well after you finish. Wear gloves, wear eye protection, don’t let any water get in the lead. Learn to flux the lead every time you add more to the pot. If you have a mold that doesn’t release the jigs easily get some Frankfort Arsenal dropout spray and coat the cavities. I have been pouring jigs for a very long time and will be glad to help you if you need it. Good luck and have a blast.
